Jake, a tip for you: if you can't seem to find enough references on the movies/series, try looking for action figures or statues reviews, they usually have a TON of spot-on details

For those foam tubes from the hardware store, a good way to attach them together is to heat both sides you want to attach with a heat gun, and then stick them together, same thing works with pool noodles since it's the same material. I'd recommend checking out stiltbeaststudios on KZfaq, he has multiple videos talking about this method, his latest video he makes a cow carcass using this method.

5:51 Hey Jake, Adam Savage recently changed from using tape on a spool holder to tape on a shelf, stored vertically! From the edge, it looks the same and acts the same, and takes up the same space, with the added bonus that you can also remove rolls of tape as you need them!

@@WilliamJakespeareProps Looks like you already have the shelf below the spool holder... Just remove the dowel and add a strip at the front to stop the tape rolling off the shelf and you're done! You might even be able to get a whole video out of this 5-minute upgrade! haha

yeah, but probably post-pandemic. When it's all together it will require a crew to operate some of the mechanics not to mention the cameras.

Great video! Building my own xeno ATM. How did you end up attaching the tail piece to the body? I see there are PVC pipes on the tail but I’m curious about what (on the body) will receive those pipes and hold it in place? Thanks!!!
