The Tracker noise is what really makes the aliens scary

I love how everyone calls him the rookie but in the end he is a complete badass who kills the alien queen and completes the mission

How lucky is the Marine exactly? He almost gets impregnated with a chest burster but wakes up in time with a handgun and obliterates the xenomorph dragging him XD

Still fucking terrifying. the pulse tracker just adds to the tension in the game and the dark environment. Still one of the best films and games that was made.

I like how you played this game without fixing the glitched skybox, then again maybe the Rookie was suffering a concussion induced hallucination from getting hit in the head with a metal box on the dropship. That or he got high from using his first med-stim after waking up. XD

I love how you make sure the Facehuggers are dead. I'd do the same. Also if you decide to play this as a Human again, here's a tip for killing Xenos: take out their legs. Everywhere else on their bodies can tank most of your shots to a point. But take out the legs and they get much weaker.

AvP games - yes. I love marine playthrough - its scarry. I played all AvP games, my fav is AvP 2 game - Litech engine !

This marine is unequivocally the strongest unaugmented/unmodified human in the franchise. He can block xeno talons with his _forearms_ and has the strength to throw a xeno off-balance with a slug to its jaw.

Man, this game brings me back. Biggest problem with the way this game worked is it was far too easy for the Marine to defend themselves when the xenos got close. I'm just imagining a remake of this game with Alien AI and deadliness more like Alien: Isolation. That would be perfect.

Can’t believe we haven’t gotten a new AVP game that takes place after this one. Was really wanting to see the xenomorph homeworld.

This was such a fun campaign, I was so excited when they released the Aliens: Colonial Marines Game. After seeing the game demo, E3 footage and trailers made it look so good! So I put extra money and effort to pre-order and the game turnt out to be a cut-short, cheap disaster. I was frustrated, not only does this game have a kick-ass marine campaign but also two other awesome ones! Such a disappointment they couldn’t make it as good as this was!

I never realized it was an alien that took the marine in the ruins level on the marine canpaign. I always thought it was the predator that took him. The more you know huh.

This is up there in my top 5 all time favorites games growing up. I spent countless hours playing this game, one of the absolute best. Definitely up there with Alien Isolation. The only thing I wish is that they made an Alien Isolation sequel that correlated the story with Aliens (1986) and featured gameplay that was similar to this but on remastered consoles. Would’ve been epic

Wow, I played this once up until the club part. I've never realized that the ones that took the marines in there was the predator because you showed the hanging skinless bodies of them. Good stuff.

This game was given so much shit but I remember picking it up for €5 a few years back and had a fantastic time playing it. Had problems but fun for what it was.

I loved the first 2 AvP FPS games. When this first came out I was a little disappointed with it. Since the launch of Colonial Marines I appreciate this game so much more

Great playthrough on nightmare. Not many players have what it takes to beat it but you did A superb job.

Hoi 4 - an amazing game that is worth every penny. Playing solo can be really good fun, and hopping into a multiplayer lobby with people who know what they are doing is even better. Great mod support, great dlc, great cheats - Cheat Land, great game.

the multiplayer was so much fun the most fun I ever had was playing as the predator. I used to be one of the best xeno killers, I hunted xenos and the marines where just a distraction. too bad the mp is dead, damn it.

Watching this clip brings back memories. You're trying to enjoy an otherwise decent game... and then "Get to the elevator. I left an objective marker." "Get to the door. I left an objective marker." "If you find weapons feel free to pick them up." "Remember that you have stim packs. Use one." "Your hacking is complete. The door is now open." "Your objective is right in front of you. Keep going forward." And on top of that, the over-bearing HUD basically plays the game for you.

As much as I loved this when it came out - the whole thing of being able to punch the Xenomorphs away took a lot of the terror out of this game, at least from the marine's perspective.

You fending off an alien you cripple it, android walks up to finish it, you shoot the android and he disappeared like a ghost

I remember the multi-player team deathmatch with 3 teams alien, predators and marines. If you played alien you had to be sneaky and ambush others Predators had all the cool weapons and if you were on the marine side team work was key because if you were alone you were screwed.

I really liked this game - even more so after Colonial Marines came out... Yes, it definitely could've been a lot better, but it could've been a lot worse... it had its moments.

this game is the perfect example of a "mess". I remember the online mod with aliens, it was like a map with 24 players, or more don't remember and 1 of us is choiced to be the alien ok? so it's something like 24 - 1. And when the alien kill a guy, it become an alien too, so its 23 - 2, then 21 - 4 [...] More and more aliens, less and less marines. Very fun idea, the alien can hide everywhere, walk on the wall, run fast, use acid, make some noises to distract you... The problem? MAPS, the online maps were just useless, nothing to do until wait the death, no objective, no escape, no runing, no robot armor, no Escape crew capsulen no locking door, no hiding place, nothing, NOTHING, you spawn here, you survive until aliens are more and more and kill us all ... Trust me, i'm a real gamer and i told that this game had fucking potential, it's a mess, they ruined it because developpers were lazy...

I'm amazed no one during development thought the motion tracker's constant noise was annoying.

I'm going to write a script for the AVP series. There's too much potential to let it simply fade out of the gaming universe.

Jesus, it somehow still looks better than 2021's Aliens: Fireteam Elite. Devs really stopped giving a shit a long time ago, didn't they?

They lost the best thing, which was in the original 1999 AvP. AvP 2010 is not bad and it is made very nice, but this scripted aliens is so bad decision. I think one mode with random alien spawn and with survival elements would make this game legendary. I wanted similar DLC for Alien:Isolation, where you could play for a marine and kill dozen of aliens on the huge and well designed space station.

I want to find out what's the name of the text font used on starting screen of AVP 2010. I've tried every font identifier, and they were incapable to find that font (which means that they are inaccurate). I want to know what's the name of the text font (since the game is so beautiful and interesting, it's text font is also beautiful (and looks futuristic)).
