Hey Guys welcome back to the channel! Today, we discuss and review car mods from aliexpress! One year update on aliexpress mods for my car! Were they worth it? Did they break? Can you Really get good quality car parts from aliexpress? Today all of those questions will be answered on my VW MK6 Jetta!

Imagine bothering someone in a completely empty parking lot. It’s one thing to care if an event or something important happening, but if it’s empty then I wouldn’t give a damn as a security guard and would let the guy do what he’s got to do and leave with no interaction

Hey, I like the videos. The production quality seems pretty high, you know your way around in Camera. The only thing I suggest, is that you branch out a bit from just Jetta’s. Don’t get me wrong, I love Jetta’s, I have a GLI, however it’s going to appeal to a smaller crowd of people. If you’re looking to grow the channel, you need to try to channel the interest of more people I guess. Maybe try more Volkswagen content, feature some golfs, and more generations than the mk6. Hope at least any of this helps, and is appreciated!

Thanks for the feedback and the comment, you bring up a really good point. I plan to expand the content by doing universal car accessory videos in the future that don’t just apply to VW’s, and some personal content. But the Vw content will definitely still be there!

Ay, why didn’t you try to warranty that tail light? You should’ve warrantied it. Btw I’d say you should always use the oem sealing gaskets for the headlight low beam cover and tail light to body gasket. Chances are that condensation is bc they didn’t use enough butyl when assembling the lights which is super common for aftermarket. Just be careful when baking bc depending on the manufacturer the plastic will have a lower melting point than oem.

same problem with the reverse light 2 times first time AliExpress seller have send a replacement second time was after 2 years I changed the lamp (only the left inner piece) for my own cost

I think you can buy dynamic flowing mirror indicators as well on Ali.

I’ve tried looking for them, you can’t get them unless you have the GLI mirrors. The base mirrors don’t support them. So you’d need to do a mirror swap unless you already drive a gli

With the auto headlights upgrade did you have to wire a sensor in or did you just change the switches? I want to know because I'm consider getting it for my 2017 Jetta S, which doesn't have auto headlights.

Is that little clear spot on the headlight switch for the sunlight sensor. Most of those switches come with a wire that goes up to the dash. Looks way more clean that way👍

Yep this little clear spot is indeed the sunlight sensor. The one with the wire is outdated and looks like garbage

Hey man love the headlights-would you say the DRLs are at least as bright as the OEM, or did you not have LED DRLs originally? Seeing a lot of people complain that the aftermarket lights don't stack up to stock but these seem a bit better.

These lights, the DRL is very bright. Exactly like OEM. Granted, the lights were $1200, not $300 like the cheap VLAND garbage

Where’s you exhaust and diffuser from I saw a diffuser like that with fake exhaust extension for seat Ibiza 6j. For £60 idk if it’s worth the risk for my ibiza

estetics parts u can trust sometimes... but for engine parts and brake suspension componant... cheap u alway get what u pay for...

Did you have bulb out warning with the tail lights? What did you do to turn that off? Not withstanding the reverse bulb.

Yes I did have the bulb out warning. The fix is super easy, wire in some LED “load resistors” they can be found at any auto parts store. This will fix the hyper flash and the bulb out.

The automatic headlight switch is great! I need to get one of those, was it an easy install? Thats one of my biggest complaints and makes the car feel cheap not coming with an auto mode stock in my opinion.

3 months later mate but Easiest install ever you turn your original one till you can pull it out the way he did in the video and it twists out in one sweep theres a connector in the back end of it just unplug im sure has a little special clip on it so be careful and install new one the module for this is within the switch itself

You can search on here how to remove it and how to install the new one flush as sometimes if you miss the clips it can be misaligned a littlw

Did the other reverse light definitely work at some point? I ask because in Europe it's common for it to only be on one side. My German Jetta is like that. Wondering if maybe yours are just Euro style?

i got the same pedal set but off ebay. How did you get the hood ejrct handle off to get that panel off. I cant figure it out. PLEASE HELP

Not gonna lie it was pretty difficult, lots of finesse. You have to slide off the plastic hood latch cover first, pop the clips off the big trim piece, and try to wiggle the hood latch out upside down. Patience is key with this one

I can get you those lights for 600 $500 actually think you overpaid. And the stock ones were not garbage by any means. There's only a few good aftermarket Taiwan they use german-made. Linzess Helix is a good brand I believe how he doesn't make one but most of the Taiwan made ones use German made projector-beam

@@MK6CHRIS Yeah I can definitely relate to the frustration! But just keep thinking about how awesome it will be once they arrive, also don’t forget to pick up some LED load resistors to fix the hyper flash which these tail lights will cause

The lights haven’t been sealed properly... there should be no moisture no matter how hot or cold it is

The seller told me that sometimes it’s normal when they are breaking in, but I agree this isn’t normal. I will probably need to re-seal them

I like the videos but please remove the R badge. Putting an R badge on a jetta is like putting an AMG badge on any mercedes, even with the mods dude.

Not a chance dude, the whole point is to build a custom “R” sedan. Dual exhaust is already done, next is intercooler and big turbo. I like it

@@redacted6115 Once you go big turbo, full suspension, bolt ons, yes it can be an R sedan. It’s something different and I’m proud of it. I like the golf R styling, but I don’t like hatchbacks. So I’m making my own spin on this build.
