Paperblossom Could you tell me what's with the "Dinge, die du tust"? The pamphlet that comes with the CD says the lyric is "Rade, die du nicht weißt."

HighLevelPlayer I decided to change that line since it's the one German sentence that makes no sense whatsoever - I honestly can't tell you what it's supposed to translate to in English. "Rade" is basically another way to say "clearing", and the rest of the sentence means "that you don't know". That's why I came up with "Dinge die du tust" instead, which means "Things that you do (out of your own free will)"

Also why would a language need THREE different ways just to say 'the' depending on what your talking about or whatever it is (I don't really understand when and what word (the) you use in different sentences)😂😂😂😂

if you want an real awnser, in german there a three word genders: male, female and neutral. Each of got his own "the" to make things more clearly. It is 'the man' -> Der Mann It is 'the woman' -> Die Frau It is 'the car" -> Das Auto. its kinda hard to tell when any other word is male, female or neutral. For example, there are "the furnace" -> Der Ofen -> male. In the same time you got the Ocean -> Der Ozean / Die See. so the thing 'ocean' isnt male or female, the word to say it is. And if you say Der See instead, you are talking about a see. After all, you need to change to more formes or rules in case of an other Kasus or if its get Plural, not Genus only. like Der Fluss (the lake [m]) -> Die Flüsse -> (the lakes [f]).
