I took the amtrak from st Paul to Chicago on coach there lunch was so good i also the amtrak from Chicago to st paul on the roomette there train steak is so good along with the cheesecake back in may 25th through may 30 I've yet to go out of town on the amtrak again it was a lot of fun i love taking the amtrak alot it was worth it best regards Nikita.K

I have often wondered why Amtrak reviews place the California Zephyr so far above the Empire Builder, especially after seeing this video.

Well honestly, I do this route on the Empire Builder a lot and it used to be really really bad. 😬 They just recently fixed up the rooms and the treatment of customers by attendants.

@@Alifeofglory My only experiences of Amtrak are along the East Coast, mostly Auto Train. I have always enjoyed great service on that route and of course it is all to the good that you can avoid 1,000 miles of driving and a lot of motel stays. Someday I hope to do a giant loop through the West, including Empire Builder in the plan. Your video was well done and it encouraged me to move ahead with this idea. Thanks very much.

good video only suggestion is to skip the music on the scenic views. it's too loud and takes away from the video. i'd much rather hear you describing your experience and telling more about your life.

@@Alifeofglory I have been on the Texas Eagle a few times and really enjoyed the trip. It is less about the destination for me than the actual ride, having said all that, just for the views, I would like to ride the California zephyr for one.

January 1st. It was a New Years ride. It looks like that through the rocky mountains Early December through early March. 🙂
