Hey JMack! I love Alikay gels. This gel in particular used to be my go to gel when I needed longevity in my wash and gos. Now, it can be drying so I always use a leave in with it. I never get flakes with this gel so I was surprised when you said you got a little dusting on day 5, especially since you didn't use a leave-in. I have used it with several leave-ins and the videos are on my channel if you want to check them out. I haven't used it in a while because I am going for less crunch and a fluffier look nowadays, but I swore by this gel for those who wanted crunch and needed their hair to last a full week. Your hair looks really good and for sure you could have went longer, but I understand not wanting to go past a week because the tangles can get outrageous. Sorry for such a long comment. 😂 tfs

Great video. Girl i use that gel for slick backs and edge control. The hold is too strong to use it for anything else.

I will have a follow up soon, i have more to say about it, but may just have the “more to say” in an empties video because it’s almost gone! I definitely tried the slick back recently and you’re right, great for that!!!🥰💕

Hey JMack! I love Alikay, too. Is this a new product? I don’t love a strong hold gel either, but I’d probably try this w/ the Alikay leave-in. Wow, even going on 2 weeks you still have shrinkage & hold. That’s impressive for ppl who appreciate that. Tfs!

I did not like the texture of this gel. it feels like petroleum jelly is in my hair.

Hiiii!!!🥰 I literally felt the same way when applying it but it turned out to work out really well for me. I have a first impression video and you could tell then I wanted to give this gel away; however, I broke the cast with a blow dryer and it looked great over the days…for me it’s like it got better with time…Also one time I used the Alikay mousse over it and that helped with the feel as well and oddly enough it was a bit less of a cast or I just used less.
