i remember when laura first introduced me to the grisha trilogy and it was love at first sight for these two. their dynamic is one of the best i've ever seen and i (shockingly) wasn't disappointed by their adaptation on screen. the second book is honestly my favorite of the three and i can't wait for their angst in season two.
when we first started this project we didn't have a direction in mind, we just wanted to edit them and unintentionally we showed a lot of how they are two sides of the same coin. ironically, i don't believe they are just "dark" and "light", and hopefully we were able to show a bit of how equal they are.
