This was the final round clash between Alireza Firouzja and Levon Aronian at the World Blitz 2021. The one who would win this game had the chance of going home with a medal. The loser would be left empty handed. Along with some theoretical battle in the Italian, you also get to see nerve wracking action under time pressure. After watching this tournament I'm pretty sure that Aronian's destiny simply doesn't allow him to win any tournaments, like dude he was so close and out of nowhere he started losing a bunch of games in a row , and even so he had a very close score in the end

Why didn't Aronian played Bxf3! when Alireza played Qb5? That's a chance to weaken the KS structure. Qxh3 afterwards is not possible because of Bxc7. Instead the bishop retreated to g6 (Bg6). Although, he might fear that Alireza will use the g-file to attack his king via Kh2 and Rg1. I still think this to better than the game continuation.

from 7:19 Aronian was feeling hopeless and from 8:17 he was not playing seriously! I think G2->G5 at 8:17 was not a perfect move. Before that on 8:11 Aronian could take the white Queen (exchange), which could prevent further advancement of the white pawn (soldier). I guess Aronian did lots of mistakes and miscalculations and probably he was not enough ready that day.

aronian has so much weird movement. for example: why does he think he rolls up his sleeves when they stay where they are? why does he push his pieces aside every time he presses the clock button? why does he puff his chest? etc ....

That's Aronian, it is just to bother his opponent, like him thinking, good boy you played that good. It is hilarious to watch people like him and naka trying to bother people, they are a bunch of assholes, and assholes don't have any real friends, lol. Karmas a bitch.
