30 minutes towel head wrap! Quick & Easy tutorial for a useful sewing project!

Dear Sewing Friends, in this easy beginner friendly video tutorial I will share with you how you can make a towel head wrap in just about 30 minutes and with just a bit of fabric! This is such a useful item to sew + you can make it and sell it, or give it as a gift!
If you want to draft it yourself you can use following measurements as a guide - length about 23", tallest point about 10".
If you need a bigger head wrap - just extend the length of it and adjust the template, or you can leave 2" space between template sheets and connect the lines to make a bigger template.

I have 4 of these & they are fantastic, so much better than wrapping a towel round my wet hair! Also, an even better fabric to use is t-shirt material, it's better for your hair & dries just as well, plus - who doesn't have an old t-shirt lying around! Bonus being that t-shirt fabric doesn't fray either 😀

I have made these for several years. I use a purchased bath towel and cut it out with the straight edge of the pattern along the straight edge of the towel. I put the piece of elastic near the edge of the large curve before I sew everything together. The button is sewn on by hand at the small end. They make great gifts!

Thanks for sharing. I do have one but my button and loop is in opposite directions. Where the button is, that's where the loop is and vice-versa. But it's really very easy.

That's great!!! If her hair is much longer than mine - you might want to extend the template by 3-5" to accommodate that -it is very easy to do, just leave the desired space between 2nd and 3rd sheets of template and then connect them with a straight line!

A plain ponytail holder would also work in place of elastic. The button and elastic are just the opposite on a purchased head wrap but I think yours would work better.

I have one I bought, and it just uses an elastic loop to pull the end through, so no button required. I can use the one I have as a pattern for another one!

Dee Knee, hi, I don't see you in the Members list and you don't have a Members badge next to your name... If you have indeed joined the paid Membership, then you can click on my channel name and you will see Membership tab, on that tab you will see a link to all downloadable materials available to you as a Member.

Please click on my channel name that you see underneath this video. Once on my channel page - click on "Membership" tab. There you will see list of perks - the links are all there. If you don't see "membership tab" you can also click on the "community" tab and you will see Members only posts with videos. Rebeca, hello there and thank you for joining! Head to the Membership tab on my channel, click on "see perks", click on Google Drive link and open the "templates" folder. The pattern and tags to go with will be there in 2 separate PDF files :)

And if you just simply click on the upper right corner, where you have a little circle with your profile picture on it and select "memberships and purchases" you will see your Membership there and a button that says "SEE PERKS" - the link for google drive is right there. You can also click on my channel name, go to Membership tab and click "SEE PERKS" - all links are right there.

Thank you for joining! I am not sure where are you looking at, but I just double checked for you - everything is working. Please go to Membership tab, click on the link for Google drive, go to the "templates" folder and you will see the hair towel template and tags.

Once you're on Google Drive - go to Templates folder, you will see 2 files for this - tags and pattern. No, joining (JOIN button next to SUBSCRIBE button) is becoming a Member, a paid function. Subscribing is becoming a subscriber.

I am so sorry you are having troubles, let me guide you through - everything is very simple and easy. You can access it even from your phone, does not matter which browser you're using. Click on my channel name (right underneath this video), that will take you to my Channel Page. There you will see different tabs, click on the "Membership" tab and then click on "show perks" - the link to ALL instructions sheets and templates is right there. This template is in the TEMPLATES folder on the drive. If you're still having troubles - please let me know and thank you for joining!
