Correct me if I'm wrong , but Alison's block at 21:41 is clearly fault. The ball is still in the opposite side of the net, the player is about to hit it and he touches it before Thole could spike.

its not 100% certain with that angle. If any part of the ball is on the plane, then it becomes playable by the blocker. I would tend to agree with you, but may be with the camera that is right on the net, the officials could see that a small portion of the ball had cleared the net ....

I agree, but I think the challenge was declined becaise you can not challenge if the Ball was still on your side

Has anyone ever see Alison hand set? I have only see him bump set all game. Is that a thing?

TheZelluloid no, he only bump sets. Many of the Brazilian players mainly bump set. I think it came from a time when they started calling more lifts/doubles. By today's standards it's a disadvantage to bump set in my opinion though as they hardly call bad hand sets anyway as you can see early in this game when the ref should have called two poor hand sets by Wickler imo.

I’ve seen that only once. I can’t remember who Bruno and he were playing against; in my opinion it was a double contact, bu the referee didn’t call it, so... Since then, I’ve never seen it again.

Is there anyone with a good knowledge of the rules? Can someone explain me one moment from this play? At 31:01 there is a slo-mo repeat how Alvaro Filho moved the back line. At 31:17 slo-mo repeat how ball hit the line, but the ball mark was surely "out" if compared to the original place of the back line. The comantator sais that it's okay, but he sais pretty much of weird stuff =)) So I went to official sources... FIVB Beach Volleyball Casebook 2019 Edition v5.1: 5.1.5 What should the referee do if a ball landed inside the line, but obviously the line had been displaced substantially during a previous defending action? Ruling: The 1st Referee should have the line corrected, and then call the ball “in” or “out”, depending on where the ball landed. Rules 8.3, 8.4, Referee Guidelines and Instructions I've browsed whole FIVB-BeachVolleyball_Rules_2017-2020-EN-v05.pdf and 2018-19 BVB RDM - App 1 - Refereeing Guidelines and Instructions.pdf files and haven't found any certain ruling about that. So, can anyone with good experience explain that to me - was that "in" or "out"? And why?

If the line was unintentionally moved during the play, that is the new boundary for the duration of the play. It's the referee's judgement whether the line was moved intentionally or not.

@@benwales8582 thanks for your answer. But yet I couldn't find any direct ofiicial rule about that, except the answer in the casebook, which I mentioned. I know it's maybe not that important, but I'm just very curious =)))

It´s a thing, that happens. It´s no big deal for the players. I got hit in the face so many times while blocking... But most of the times its the fault of the player who gets hit. But everyone is apologyzing every single time.
