Marc Maron, Alison Brie and Betty Gilpin are stepping inside the ring for the new Netflix series “GLOW,” based on the 1980s female wrestling show “Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.” Alison Brie says it was exciting for young girls to see women wrestling on TV and even demonstrates some techniques on TODAY’s Al Roker.

Alison’s character in the film and her play are what sold the series to me from the get go. Then came the other characters, humor and social problems portrayed. Overall it is a so much high quality and entertaining show. Let it continue, please

Yeah; sadly, that often goes with the territory whenever "mainstream" show hosts interview pro wrestlers (and as you see, even actors playing pro wrestlers). Oh man, I LOVED watching Sting, Madusa, Bobby "the Brain" Heenan and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper totally OWN host Bill Maher's sorry @$$ on one of his shows! Search here on KZfaq! :-)

They're decent hosts most of the time, plus they're giving GLOW publicity. I don't see the problem.

The show isn't even true to the series. Not even half of what you see is real. What really irks me is Alison Brie wont even dye or cut her hair to look like the originals. I used to catch this on tv in the early 90s and loved it, the Netflix series is entertaining but is seriously lacking in truth.

Alison Brie is good looking. She looks like a flesh and blood "Little Mermaid" character. I guess she tried to emulate the 1980's Lucinda Dickey look.
