I had a special needs child and when he was still alive he loved me singing to him. He was limited on what he could do the only word he could say is Mama. The smile on your face let's me know that you need me.He loved music and I think of him evertime I listen to this song and I can see his face with that million dollar smile and him reaching up to touch my hand. Thank you for such a beautiful song.

1994-95 My little baby girl was born with a complex heart condition. She loved this song. She would sit in front of the TV and smile at Alison's face. My little Kirsten passed after open heart surgery on July 3rd 1995. This is her song.

I lost my Papa in on 1/02/2013 at 60. This was his favorite song. He introduced me to it in 2010. I loved it as well. We sang it together riding down the street sometimes, mostly though we just listened to it. I miss him terribly. I love you Papa. I miss you. I'll see you again when my time comes.

Reading through the comments I can see this song means a lot to all of us. My oldest son and I were listening to this song even before Blake could even speak. When my boys were little I knew there would be a delay in speech. Then my oldest boy had seizures and lost his speech when he was around 4 years old. I left work to work with my boys and I was able to get Cameron speaking by the age of three. The boys were 4 and 2 by that point. But we would listen to this song back then. Blake's speech was still delayed over the years. He clearly understands but has so far not been able to regain his speech. I pray for my young men every night. They are 26 and 24 now. And something very wonderful is soon to awaken in them, something of the Holy Spirit. To all the people hoping and reading, God is with all of our children. God bless all of you. We'll get through this.

And I said how this was going to be a glimpse of our future where the Special Needs children rise up and crush the Head of Satan under the guidance of the Virgin Mary. I suspect there are 'neurological gifts' within their minds that are so exceptional; their other senses are inhibited to handle the additional neurological capacity. Much like Laurence Kim Peek, the American "megasavant" -- he had an exceptional memory, but he also experienced social difficulties, possibly resulting from a developmental disability related to congenital brain abnormalities. We can work with them if we are willing to let go of egomaniacal obsession with ourselves. They can save us. These children really are the future of humanity. I think Kim Basinger's movie Bless the Child (2000) is kind a beautiful vision yet to be seen. But I do not think the 'modern world' is willing to embrace their gifts. In many ways these gifted children are so gifted, there are aspects of the modern world that see them as evil. Yet a person like Temple Grandin is NOT evil. Temple Grandin is exceptionally gifted. Tesla was another man who was gifted. Once we learned to embrace their gifts, we will be made so much stronger working together. Saint John XXIII once said, “What unites us is much greater than what divides us.” And I firmly believe this to be true to the depths of my God given soul. The Virgin Mary's devotion to her children is the Sacred Lens we are to view the world. It's time for the woman to take charge! WE NEED TO GET INVOLVED IN THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS!

I was 39. My gf was 25. She was invited to a party by a guy who was quite obviously interested in her. When I showed up with her I was not warmly received, lol. At one point we were separated by many people. This song came on. Several guys asked her to dance. She said no. Then the crowd parted and our eyes locked! She came straight to me and we slow danced. This is me and my wife's song. If we would have had a traditional wedding this would have been our wedding song. Instead due to the pandemic we were forced into a very small outdoor ceremony. While very beautiful and a day I will never ever forget, I do regret not being able to dance with my love to this beautiful song. Sadly 2 years and 2 months after we married, she has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Every time I hear this song it makes me cry. A lot. Sending love to all of you out there! Do not miss a single opportunity to show and tell those you love how important they are to you. You may just never get another chance to do so. God bless you all.

Yes she does! Reminds me of my girlfriend of 2 years who passed in 2007 from a heart attack. She was the only one who truly showed me just how much someone can love a person. This was one of the songs we first danced to she loved bluegrass. This song makes me think of her so much. I miss her more than she realizes and ended up putting my heart on the shelf until we can be together again in Heaven.

It's incredible how in this world there can exist such beauty, be it through songs like this to the beauty of a flower or children at play, while simultaneously there is such vile ugliness and filth. These days it's more important than ever to remember the beauty that is out there. It's so easy to only see the atrocities all around us.
