The film is very good, and emotional. Well worth seeing if you can. Th dedications are to Rache's brogher and Eli's mother who both passed away that year.

Rachel is a friend of theirs, she's been in a good amount of their videos, she's SO good! the dedication was to Eli's mother and Rachel's brother, who passed away that year.

Always enjoy your reactions to Voiceplay! They are always amazing! Layne did this arrangement and video. Voiceplay does it all. They built the music box set themselves, Eli, the bald tenor (Jymmie was his mother) does all of the lighting and effects for them. They did a Wicked Medley before this. It has not been made into a movie yet (Covid), so if you haven't seen the stage show, you may not be familiar with the music. I hadn't and wasn't, but still loved it!

Rachel has been active on Broadway, with performances in Addams Family, Wicked and Evita. Pretty sure there was another one or two, but can't remember. You also don't need to use the screening masks with VP or Geoff - they do claim revenue, but they don't challenge the standard use for reactors.

Rachel met Geoff and Layne’s (and probably Eli) while they were competing against each other in high school singing competitions. (Can’t remember where I read that). She is the collaborator they have worked with the most- 10 or 12 now. She was a finalist on the X Factor when VP was in the Sing Off so couldn’t go with them. She has done musical theater: she played Glinda in Wicked (and Elphaba in VP’s medley), has been in Evita and others. If you watch Just Sing with captions on, it will give you a few of her credits. I really wasn’t interested in watching the movie (I grew up hearing the “There’s a sucker born every minute” attributed to him, although he denies he ever said it, so didn’t think of him in a positive light). But I thoroughly enjoyed Layne’s vision so did watch the movie. Unlike most people I didn’t love the movie but liked it well enough. But the music was worth it. I love his treatment and concept. They built the music box from scratch. I really wasn’t interested in watching the movie (I grew up hearing the “There’s a sucker born every minute” attributed to him, although he denies he ever said it, so didn’t think of him in a positive light). But I thoroughly enjoyed Layne’s vision so did watch the movie. Unlike most people I didn’t love the movie but liked it well enough. But the music was worth it. I love his treatment and concept.
