Time FLIES!!!!! You're saying 51 years ago, but I do realize it's been that long. When I was going to high school in Acton, (1968-71) I had to spend an hour on the bus, we lived way out in the farmlands.The bus driver played CKOC Hamilton, (1150-CKOC) and this song was my fave. I heard it the other day on an oldies station , and it just brought back such memories! There is good music today, but not on the radio anymore. I miss the old days.

God Bless Niles, Michigan
@Me-je2uw26 күн бұрын
@@danielweigt8781 In July 1973, my sister and I got to visit friends (a brother, sister and their parents) who lived in a small town in Northern Indiana, not far from South Bend. I was getting ready to start my Freshman year of high school, while my sister was going to be a Senior, and our friends were about the same age. For several years they had come to our small town in Southeast Kansas to visit their grandmother and some other relatives. We would spend much of that time hanging out with them, so it was finally our turn to go visit them. They took us to South Bend to see Notre Dame University and one Sunday afternoon we went with their parents to Niles, Michigan, to eat lunch. They took us there so we could add the state of Michigan to the list of states we'd visited. They drove us back home and we got to spend the night in St. Louis, Missouri. That night, the father took us and the two friends to see a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game. It was so exciting! They played the Atlanta Braves and we saw Hank Aaron almost hit a home run, as it bounced off the right field part of the fence, practically right in front of where we were seated. As a die hard Cardinals fan, I was glad it wasn't a home run, but since it was near the end of his race for the home run title, it would have really been something to see such a part of baseball history. I just had to write to you when I saw Niles, Michigan, on your comment. Sorry I blabbed so long, but that trip was such a great memory, which my sister and I still discuss to this day. God Bless you and take care!

Am glad James decided to give this one away! He sure picked the right group to do it. Had forgotten music could still make me feel like this. First heard it when home again on temp leave before being deployed. In those times you lived every minute and knew good music when you heard it. I would have extended it too! The guitar solo was a stand-alone classic all by itself.
