This footage was captured using a GoPro from a reef located at the cleaning station at the Aliwal Shoal Marine Protected Area, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
This episode of Aliwal TV discusses the bull ray, a very rare and critically endangered ray, and we were lucky enough to receive this footage!
The presence of this ray has a lot to do with Aliwal Shoal being a Mission Blue Hope Spot and is therefore a protected ecosystem where they can more likely be spotted.
