Halloween is one of the best times to go to Disneyland! It's still pretty warm, they have fantastic seasonal food, and you've got the Haunted Mansion overlay.

@@SoCalDisneyDad haha thank you. My gf wants me to get on the guardians she made me get on the incredicoaster, it was scary but very fun. Ran out of time to get on guardians, I believe if I can handle incredicoaster then I can handle guardians next time I go!

@@YNGJBRZ It’s a totally different sort of intense. If you don’t like drop rides, you may personally find it more intense. There aren’t 60 mile an hour launches or any inversions on Guardians, but the weightlessness while dropping can still get some people. If you’ve ever been on the old tower of terror it’s only a tiny bit more intense than that, but only because of the constant bouncing during cutscenes.

That actually isn’t breaking down. That is very normal for omnimovers (the rides the never stop like Little Mermaid and Haunted Mansion) because they need to stop them to allow handicapped guests on and off.

Monsters Inc. is notorious for being hard to ride between being closed periodically and having really long lines.

For sure. We actually love starting the day in DCA. We think it’s the best way to go.

@@SoCalDisneyDad For me Disneyland and DCA are one big park and at that the biggest and best in the world.

Disneyland. There are 24 rides in Disneyland without a height requirement. As opposed to just 8 rides in DCA.

I’m not sure on height, but Grizzly you are strapped in really well. Whereas Splash has no safety restraints. I believe that Grizzly isn’t as steep, and it definitely doesn’t feel as scary. However, you have the potential to get far more wet if you are the two seats facing the bottom when it splashes down. It’s like a big tidal wave that rises up and drenches whoever is at the bottom (it spins going down so you really have no clue who is going to get drenched until you do).

Both parks in a single day? I’d say start at Disneyland since DCA is usually a park we go to when Disneyland gets overly crowded. DCA is usually the less busy of the two parks, meaning in the middle of the afternoon, several of their rides are still pretty manageable. Then you can hop back over to Disneyland toward the end of the day as Disneyland is open later (until Midnight unless it’s a special event night). If you can, I’d highly recommend two days, one for each park. As both parks have rides that are better at Rope Drop. And both have nighttime spectaculars that are worth checking out.

Yes. The height requirement is for all riders.

Some of the rides are. I’ll actually have a video going up this coming week listing every attraction in both parks that babies and toddlers can do. It’s all filmed and scripted, I just have to record the audio and put it together. Hopefully should have time for that this week.

The ratings are based on other rides in this park only. The tamest ride in the park receives a 1, the largest, fastest ride receives a 10, and then all other rides receive a number between this scale. It is definitely not a ranking of rides compared against every ride that exists. If so, all rides at Disneyland would be below a 5, which is far too limiting to be useful to families planning their vacations.

make sense i hate that i have to go to DCA in Fall 2024 but its the last theme park my kids need to complete all of California Parks after your video i feel $139-159 is not worth it at all but happy only have to go once.@@SoCalDisneyDad

Not in DCA. No. Those three rides are in Disneyland, which I put in a separate video that published a few weeks ago.
