Evan Binder Well because it's an smg it won't be as accurate undersustained fire like lmg's, having an optic doesn't mean much tho. The supppressive variants of the lmg's have scopes but no accuracy bonus. It's probably a bigger change in variant over the others but in no way as OP as the automatico currently is :p

No the damage will be the same. Same gun and bullet? Dice keeps attention to this (at least a little). The original Hellriegel prototype had I think 160 rounds in the mag. So it makes sense to use it like intended by its inventor.

Yea all the support guns are pretty bad except for the BAR and Chauchat. They just havent been able to balance that class. It is the mortar class with one good gun.

the support class weapons have a very specific range and the good guns for that class are really just shorter range guns. the other guns like the mg15, Lewis gun etc have a lot more ammo and their thing is that with a bipod you can shoot long range and most people forget that while using that gun their enemies bullets get knocked off with suppression effects and therefore you can win fights at enemies at almost any range. it's the lack of a good cqc machine gun that can fire fast, high damage, terrible recoil and a big clip. that would make it ideal for most people's liking. the way I see it, why not have the defensive variant for support?

I have some ideas for future updates from DICE: -10 round mag Tank Hunter Rifle that can fire on full auto like the 1907 Sweeper -Heavy Tank that has a main gun on all sides of the tank, not just the front -Semi Auto AT rocket gun like the grenade launcher from BF4 with the 6 grenades -Model 10A Hunter that can fire on full auto like the AA12 shotgun -10 Anti-Tank grenades per Assault with auto-replenish -Dual Wield Automaticos The options really are endless. Owen Keidel how so? it doesn't change anything except the optics and hipfire. martini sniper variant is supremely useless as stated in the video neither it's muzzle velocity nor it's damage model supports long range play. it clearly is intended for close-mid ranges, ideal for a carbine variant.

How was it a worst aspect? The upper buttons are the proper buttons and are easier for your hands... its been like that for all shooter games previously. I don't mind using the bottom buttons, but their position for shooting kills your hand muscles :( My father plays too and he has arthritis in his hands... he was so glad that i found how to switch the controls ... not to mention you can shoot faster and properly with your main finger of your hand.

Fred Michaud and a bloody bipod!!!! Like there isnt enough players laying down in buildings and near the objective. Plus nice one on level saying it brings the mag capacity up to lmg status yet only 1 lmg in the game has a bigger mag, thought he was better than that.

zachary scadura I agree that the mg 15 suppressive is a good gun, too stationery for my playstyle but all im saying is doubling the ammo capacity of an smg that already has the third highest capacity in the game is dumb, plus they add a bipod and a scope while the others get one benefit? Even thats debatable since optical lmgs are complete trash imo. I hope this gets sorted out because as I see it there is no incentive to go through the effort of unlocking these guns outside of the new HR.

If it fired a full sized rifle cartridge then it's technically a LMG, and is going to receive LMG treatment (lower damage than the round might suggest [ie 23-16], recoil like you might expect from the round [when fired by an untrained user] ridiculous spread pattern, and only 1 or 2 mags in reserve. Basically it's going to be to the MG15 what the ribeyrolles is to the MP18.

In practical terms, the round the Fedorov Avtomat fires is more comparable to an intermediate cartridge in power than the rounds used by other LMGs, even if the Avtomat was employed in a role similar to that of squad LMG during field testing.

Even so, it fires a rifle cartridge, is of full rifle length, and was introduced into service as a "handheld light-machine-gun; it is an LMG. I doubt we'll ever get to see it though, it looks about as similar to the Selbstlader 1917 as the Carcano does to the M.95 (the Carcano being left out of the game because of this similarity)

Given the similarities between the Fedorov Avtomat and the Ribeyrolles, I expect it to go to the assault class. And functionally speaking, the 6.5mm Arisaka is an intermediate round, sitting between modern 5x56 and 7.62 ammunition in power, even if it is a full-sized rifle round by design. It being introduced in the LMG role in real life is no real knock against it going to assault as we've already seen and because the concept of assault rifle didn't really exist in any meaningful sense at the time and other predecessors to the assault rifle were doctrinally treated like LMGs. Even the AS-44 of WW2, an immediate predecessor to the AK-47, was treated and used as a squad support weapon complete with a standard-issue bipod.

Random guy Hellriegel was never OP. Every weapon has their ups and downs. I liked the hellriegel at first but then I realized that automatico is 10 times better once you learn to control it.

Thats the thing about the Hellriegel though. Any scrublord with 15 hours in the game can pick it up and do reasonably well with it. It takes no skill. Sure other guns might be better than it in some situations, but they take skill to use, or have major downsides. The Hellriegel is just so easy to use and has no major downsides.

The other weapons are total trash compared to hellriegel, automatico is good close range but hellriegel is good even up to long range, hell i can outperform some lmgs with it at long range, its op and easy to use, with no other capable weapons because lets face it there are 5 weapons in each class. The m16 was op but there were other 20 capable great weapons that could beat it if played right, you never beating anyone mid range with a automatico, and the hellriegel sure as hell beats the mp18.

ToRcKHD Hellriegel is trash if we are comparing it to other assault SMG's. For example MP18 is far superior option: MP18 has amazing hipfire, less side to side recoil and superior accuracy over Hellriegel. Only upsides Hellriegel has are little bit faster TTK in super CQ, less vertical recoil which can be countered by the user and a big mag which is kinda useless since the gun overheats. Hellriegel is just easy to use gun for noobs.

The Martini Henry is a single shot, blackpowder cartridge, breech-loading, rifle, firing a big bore, heavy bullet, at relatively slower velocities (410-440 m/s) than its smokeless powder cartridge rivals.

See, this is the kind of stuff that I despise that DICE does, they lower and raise damage models without regard to the caliber the weapons are actually firing. If BOTH Hellriegel's fire the same round, have the same barrel length, and etc, each round should do the same damage. Still DICE should up the damage of the LMG's since they all fired powerful rifle rounds, instead of them doing the same damage as 9mm SMG's, and they need to put the fire-rate of the 1903 Exp back to at least 450 again, with the new 26.5 damage model that is slightly greater than 9mm SMG's (which is realistic). Someone with the 1903 Exp can finally have a fighting chance again with the spam fire, given that even then ALL other weapons out damage it at practically every range via higher full auto fire rate, range, or damage model. DICE freaking nerfed the 1903 Exp down to the fire rate of the Chauchat, while it does ever so slightly greater damage than 9mm SMG's that fire 550-650-900 rpm within 14m.

Have you seen how bad the grenade spam is in this game? I can't remember the last game that wasn't filled with green queef gas for miles. This was never a problem in past battlefield games, so I don't know how DICE fucked up with bf1.

Patrick Azzarella The reason grenade spam is an issue is because of how fast you throw it. It's almost instantaneous. Change the animation to Bf4's slower, more realistic throwing, and grenade spam would be far less visible.

Matteo Pesci it was nerfed into the ground recently. It's a short range weapon with a 650 fire rate so it's going to lose against the smg with the 900 firerate in cqc it can't really hit medium ranges anymore because of all the nerfs and the mp-18 experimental or the new assault rifle with a bipod will beat it at all mid ranges so honestly the only thing it's good at now is if you flank your enemies. So the hell regiel needs a fucking buff IMO

The snipers need some love because they only get a certain range to one shot when it should be one shot until a certain distance.
