If I am not mistaken these might be the cables that were taken off most sites because they weren't safe for the pc. I recommend you do your research if you are planning to buy one as of October 2023

Jay thanks for this tech info! Got one and just installed on my Gigabyte 4090, EVGA z790 Classified, i9 13900KS, etc in a Corsair 7000D case (lots of room and really worth it). This adapter REALLY cleans up the cable mess going to the GPU. Thanks a bunch.

These looks so good! For how long we've had discrete gpus with power cables, I'm surprised we're only just now getting a right angle connector. I wish these were the default connector for all cards

I think 90° adapters that direct the cable along the length of the card would be a cool idea too. Would make cables almost invisible if the power plug is at the end of the card.

These are awesome, I loved using my EVGA 1080ti adaptors back in the day that could curve the cables to the front of the card.

I have some 180 adapters for my current GPU, and I am beyond excited to see some 180 adapters for the 40 series GPU's now! Might make my purchasing decision a bit easier in the future. I have a 180 degree off brand set from Amazon that I use on my 3090. It’s great for cable management and it really helped with being able to put on the side panel on my q300l.

I remember hearing about these adapters during the great 4090 Fire, and all I saw was that they got delayed repeatedly. It's good that they're finally out, but I dunno if many people still care

Funny. I just got a 4080 and I had no problem with the plug. I just stuck it in until it clicked and did not release, they slightly bent the cable about 2 inches in - and that's that. I also connected the PSU cables to the 12VHPWR cable first.

I figured out why I watch your videos... It's not for the content, because I can get basically the same content in from at least 10 other channels. It's because the way you look and talk makes me feel like I've known you all my life. You're a very warm person.

Got a 180 'B' variant for my 4090 Suprim X. Very happy with how it looks and performs. Only thing I will say is thst the metal body of the connector itself gets quite warm, but nothing alarming.

I per-ordered one of these when they made the announcement and got my adapter a week or so ago. It's a Variant -A 90 degree using it on my ASUS TUF 4090 and it works/fits perfectly. The metal back plate on the adapter is supposed to act as a little heat sink if you read the online instructions from scanning the QR code on the plastic wrapping.

I have a couple 180 adapters on my 3080, and they sit flushed against the card and have a soft black surface so they are very inconspicuous, but I love the clean look they provide.

I just got a 4090 and thankfully I have a huge case that’s wide enough to support airflow. If your computer case isn’t wide enough I can see the 12pin plugs getting extremely hot because the gpu fan is directing that hot air directly above the 12pin power connector which will reflect off the side glass of your case and add more heat to that connector which already gets hot, just a side note 😊.

I was thinking of one of these, but I got a Y60 with Cable Mod cables and I like seeing my red and black cables. Plus being vertical mount I didn’t have to make such an aggressive turn.

The timing on this is impeccable! I just purchased a 4090 and after installing it this morning I realized I have the side panel problem. 4 hours later, video on a solution! lol

While I have no desire to use one of the 40 series cards (a variety of reasons, not fanboying), I am so thrilled to see that this type of hardware is now available. Frankly, I'm shocked it took this long. I have to imagine this is going to make builds (and safety) much easier for my Nvidea brethren.

Still kinda crazy to me how massive these are. Got the 4080 Suprim X despite knowing it would be a very tight fit, and I didn't fully realize how close it'd be until I installed it.

These things are a lifesaver. I bought a Asus RTX 4080 TUF last month, and while I knew it was going to be big, the actual size really surprised me. It was basically a perfect fit inside my NZXT S340 Elite, but I soon discovered that while lenght was not a problem, I had completely overlooked the depth, and the GPU was basically hugging the glass. Because of this, I was literally unable to put the glass panel back on after the power cable was wired up. I happened to look online and when I came across these adapters, I immediatelly ordered one. Happy to report that with this adapter installed, I was just barely able to put the glass back on, after having it off for nearly a month. Makes you wonder why NVIDIA didn't include these from the beginning

My Beautiful evga 1080ti came supplied with a very similar device, tidying the cable insertion point up for the GPU no end!

Moddiy has super flexible silicone jacket cables that are even lower profile than this and the even slimmer 180* one. I used it to fit my 4090 FE with only 15mm of clearance in my Sliger Cerberus X and no bending at all to fit it. The cable total height from the plug to how it naturally hangs is like 12.5mm. These are great too but for those who are space co strained by these massive gpus

I got one of them for one of the computers I built with a 4090 FE to go along with the custom CableMod cable I bought for it. It took forever to actually get to me but it works well now that I actually have it.

I have 180 degree adapters for my 7900 XT. All three cables tucking cables back behind the vertical mount extremely clean with stock cables.

The 180 degree one would be awesome for vertical mounts plus if a person doesn't get a direct plug cable they can use the addaptor and hide it behind the card assuming they have a vertical mount

Cable mods should have one store page for this adapter and make selecting the variant you wish to purchase a required field to make the “add to cart” button interactive. That way you have to make the choice and it forces you to see that there are multiple variants, hopefully inspiring further research and avoiding the purchase of the wrong variant

There is a compatibility list on the order page for this adapter with specific cards. Hopefully that reduces any confusion.

My solution for the problem with builders who don't insert their power cables completely is to return to the old school. When I started building my PCs (Clones), sometime in the late 1980s, connectors, like the VGA and printers, used a connector with screws to secure the cables. Once the screws were tighter, you knew the plug was connected. This method also helped to eliminate play in the connectors. What do you think?

For me I’d go with the 180-degree variant-B (shown 7:06) and tuck the power cable back underneath the GPU and down into my case base to connect to the psu 💪😇🥰🥳. The 90-degree I feel for me is an untidy run as the power cable covers the GPU top ruining the aesthetics ☹

I've been on the pre-order list for a 180 degree version for months, finally got mine plus a cablemod 4-into-1 12VHPWR cable this week for my 4090. Unfortunately it looks like I may have got a dud, the card will hang when both are used but when just the cable without the 180 degree adapter is used it works absolutely fine. Yes it was pushed in all the way. No it didn't have any bend or stress on it. It would just get warm to the touch and fail even with light stress testing. Harsher testing like Furmark it would hang within 5 minutes. But just the cable? Rock solid. I've requested an RMA. Don't get me wrong I love the quality of their cables and I think they're a good company, I'm just reporting my single case use of a failure.

Got one of these for my FE a couple weeks ago and I can finally close the glass panel on in my O11 Dynamic with a mm or 2 to spare. While it is a bit on the pricey side, it's still cheaper than a new case or some of the Vertical mounts that are out there.

I got mine in the mail the other day. It definitely makes things look cleaner, Especially if your card is mounted vertically.

That adapter sticks out even more then the plug on the original cable... An even better solution that everyone wants would be if the gpu manufacturers put the inlet on side of the card, so it would point towards the front of the case. Most cases would have a slot for cable management right there and you could easily hide the cable.

Jay.. you should report on all these adapters that are.. you know.. melting.

I use a wire-tie to push the locking clip on adapters like this. You can turn the wire-tie into a "ring" and use your finger for leverage.

I got mine the other day after pre-ordering. Overall I really like it (I mean.. I can close my case now), I think they're kinda crazy over priced for what they are and they do wobble a bit. But overall, I like it and I don't really have any other choices. haha

Got a white 180 on my vertically mounted 4080 Aero - works amazingly

I got a 180 degree adapter for an old 6 pin socket. From China via Amazon. It lasted less than a minute before burning out. I thought I'd try the MODDIY adapters next, the ones with cables that angle away.

Got my 180 degree Type B back on march 16th. Works like a charm with my Gigabyte 4090/EK Vector2 waterblock. That being said, the cost was outrageous.

I have 180deg version, and that allows me to close my 4U rack case with 4090 inside :) Also tested for magic smoke escaping with some OC and benchmarks.
