I personally prefer the more realistic or "boring" Great One furs. I don't like the flashy furs, I like ones that look real :D, just personally.

Its whatever to me, if they are still fun then i dont care how they design them. At the end of the day everyone is going to be grinding feed zones so nobody is at a disadvantage.

@@ThatOutdoorsChannelAnd? That doesn't mean you need to go through hell to get a goat with slightly bigger horns lol. It took me 4300 kills to get my first GO Red Deer. Which took me 7-8 months. I just think it's very off putting to even think about doing that type of hunt without drink zones. But as I previously stated, to each their own. I won't be going after it. But if this is something you think you'll enjoy then power to you. I hope you get it.

It will be darn close to the same, except in feed zones or rest zones. (Jaxy eluded to something 'different' about the rest zones, if I heard right, but said we'd have to figure it our basically, so I'm leaning toward feed zones). Now finding feed zones by way of walking all over the land of the tahr's region, that'll be the tricky part. Once you've found most of them, or all of them, will be much smoother sailing then.

I'm pretty sure the dark red isn't a g1 fur because he said there were only 7 furs and including that it would be 8. Plus Jaxy did accidentally spawn in a g1 moose with the mocha variation in a livestream before.

I'm surprised that they just simply called it the Tahr, and not the Himalayan Tahr like what Way of the Hunter did with their take on that animal. Speaking of Way of the Hunter, I'm still waiting for them to add Elephants, Rhinos, Hippos, Crocodiles, Giraffes, and Zebras to Tikamoon Plains because that reserve absolutely needs them.

No drink zones for the Thor.... O yeah! All happy and mocking about grinders. A week after the map was released, grinders will occupy all feed and rest zones, and will start mining a lot of GO. Because they have lot of time, but we don't.

I'm glad initial spawn great ones are gone, it made it too easy to cheat and just pop reset while using the scanner till you got one. Way too many people were doing that, then suddenly they all stopped getting great ones, I wonder why xD

If you don’t like hunting drink zones then don’t hunt them, why’d they have to take them away from people who enjoy hunting them….if animal has drink zones you don’t need to hunt them in the drink zones, but if an animal doesn’t have a drink zones we don’t even have an option…

"You're free to hunt anywhere and in any way you want" ~ the original gameplay trailer. I really dont like them forcing the feed zone hunting on this great one. We should be able have all 3 options, since we can choose and it is the game's motto. Its not even realistic, since tahr do drink from lakes irl (looking at you too, chamois). Some people like this, but idk. I just think that if i wanna grind for these guys normally i should be able to, they shouldnt force a style on us, its unnecessary.

I feel like grinding for great ones and all the content creators getting tons of them just devalues the great ones so much. I wish that like if you were lucky enough to see one that it would happen when you are actually just like hunting instead of just shooting thousands of one species and abusing the respawn mechanics. To me abusing the respawn mechanics is no better than cheating.

The tigers are cool, but the real show that most people wait for is the great one, and this one being this bad of a let down is really disappointing. I don't know how others feel, but I think they definitely could have been more creative with rack variations

People who don't get what they specifically want can be butthurt. They can't make every single person happy each time, you know? And don't get me started on the people who just absolutely HATE on people grinding (when it doesn't affect anyone else's gameplay at ALL, ever, so they may be jealous about grinders getting more great ones, but it's give and take. It takes a lot of time and stuff to do a legit great one grind, grinding doesn't make Great Ones magically appear. I had to grind just over a year, two maps, and almost 4500 kills for my first ever GO (whitetail). You either want to do it or you don't)

@@thomasgroom8277 I even did HM my whitetail grind. But, people who hate grinders claim its not fair that people grind because 'regular ppl don't have the time to grind and have to play more casual'. Well, I have a kid, husband, dog, home, and work for myself out of my house so I'm busy. I just make a little time and when I play COTW, instead of choosing to do other stuff, I grind. Ya sometimes I take a break and hunt other stuff, but I put my time in. Like I said, my first GO was my whitetail, and it took me from starting set-up to putting him in my lodge just over a real-life year. Anyone can do it. That grind was tough. And my only other great one, my fallow, also took several months and almost 2500 kills. Now I'm desperately trying to get a GO bear before pop reset (and I've been working on this grind for about 6-7 months). Anyone can do it.

So I really don't know why ppl get so butthurt about people choosing to grind, other than they are mad those people are getting great ones. But, they put in the time. Believe me, I do. And I'm a busy mom, I play when I can. Anyone can do it.

Idk if im a fan of the no drink zones. There's a reason no one likes hunting Chamois and mountain goats anymore. Plus unless early access proves otherwise, im guessing the cats, or at the very least leopards, don't drink, so the map is probably challenging enough already
