Nice to see ringing in the US I rang at Washington Cathedral in May 2019 lovely peal of bells and in a wonderful tower. They go very well. Actually some lovely bells in the US even though some are not change ringing bells Some very big Bourdon bells by Gillett and Johnston are in New York. Sadly went to New York but Trinity wall street was closed due to renovations. I have a long history around bells my dad was a bell hanger for Whitechapel. Is always been culturally English or I guess Anglo Saxon, many thing it is something to do with worship and calling people to church and there is truth in that but of course it developed as really an interest It was really great on the video to see an Afro American learning to ring and the prospect that change ringing becomes culturally and racially inclusive is really something I want to see.as I thing we need to concentrate on what we have in common rather than what divides and them an us. It's funny what interests people, for me knocking a ball into a small hole n a golf course is of no interest but to be able to ring 5040 of 8 spliced or even Stedman Caters is something I find therapeutic. We are all different, thank God for that.

My Great-Grandfather was Charles Henry Jewell....my family members rang at Trinity Church, and ONC for 95 years.......
