The thing about clothes, especially pants, is that everyone talks about wanting to blend in but seem to ignore 2 things. 1) Nobody is paying attention; anyone who would think anything about pants with more pockets or visible pockets, is in the know anyway and they're gonna know no matter what you're wearing because of how you carry yourself. 2) it doesn't matter what you're wearing, if you look like these guys (or most of the other people talking about what pants to wear to blend in), with the beard, sleeve tatts, that hat, the necklace bulging through the t-shirt like there's a fire steel or talisman or something on it, those haircuts etc, then you're not blending in anyway; you look like you're special forces home on leave from Iraq or something. Just pick some pants that are comfortable and hold what you want to carry, and move on with the rest of your life. If you carry a lot of stuff on your person, and not a bag in the truck or wherever you aren't most of the time, then a baggier pant with larger pockets helps things disappear better than slim, stretchy pants that outline everything and don't have room for much of anything. If you don't carry much then there's no reason to have pockets anyway so wear whatever. Do whatever you want to do. The blending in grey man thing much ado about nothing for the purpose of selling products. Literally zero people care what someone else is wearing unless it's a fat person in yoga pants.

Totally agreed. Seems like a lot of these guys want to be gray man but also look the part at the same time. I can’t fault someone for wanting the tacticool look, but presenting as both tacticool and unassuming gray man doesn’t really work out unless you’re only around total normies all the time
@vitogriffin8902

@@rhysxj yup. I carry a ton of stuff on me because I don't want to carry around a backpack or leave crap in a vehicle where it's not at hand or gets lost in a wreck or something. In all the years of wearing the whole gambit of pants, carrying all the guns and medical and Leatherman and knives and pens etc., I've had one person make a comment and it was a former military guy in a bar who called out my shoes which there the Merrell's that dudes wore before the Solomon's got popular. Side note, the Merrell's are way better than the Solomon's could ever dream of being, but around town Brooks is the way to go because both the Merrell's and Solomon's are trail runners and they suck at anything else and wear out 4 times faster than Brooks.

If you guys are looking for budget pants in this category, Wrangler makes them for like $30. I just can't justify $100 pants no matter how many pockets they have. Also, Kore makes an excellent EDC belt with multiple buckle options for about $30 as opposed to $80 for the Agonic belt.

I've been loving the Agonic belt since I got it. Super great with the stretch, very comfortable sitting and standing, and the little pockets are awesome. So far, I've put a couple throwaway flash drives and yubikeys in them. I want to see how they hold up to the movement and sweat, but cybersecurity devices are perfectly hidden in the belt slots. The pants look well designed. Hope to try that out soon.

I wear a size 28x32 pant. I found the LAPG jeans in a slim fit to be the most comfortable on the market. Very gray-man, I blend in with everyone, and they have 11 pockets. I also carry a Sig XTen in a sidecar holster AIWB with an optic and light. Knife, EDC Streamlight Wedge, phone, minimalist wallet, keys, headphones always accompany. I run a Kore belt that's extremely rigid and has their ratchet system. The ability to micro adjust when I'm doing physical work is excellent.

I’ve been wearing my Marsupial Belt for several years now, no one was ever about it because it was stretchy and wasn’t super thick but I bought every high end thick edc belt from every name brand company and none of them were comfortable to me. I bought this Marsupial belt for $20-30 several years ago and I still wear it every single day to this day even for labor work in attics and under houses. It’s the exact same design as the belt in this video too and it’s been around for a long time and American made however I’m not trying to push another company because the one in this video is much nicer and cleaner looking. I was just stating that I’ve always enjoyed the stretchiness to it for anyone who is on the fence.

I'm a huge fan of Wrangler Riggs pants, I work in the Ranger ripstop pant, non-work is the regular jeans style. Gusseted crotch, moves good, triple stitch, rock solid fabric in both. Definitely recommend. Watch just run whatever you prefer but a good NATO strap like the Archer brand can upgrade any cheap watch. Streamlight makes some awesome tiny flashlights, microstream USB fits in ANY pocket and has 250 lumens, macrostream fits in most non-skinny jean pockets and rocks 500 lumens. Benchmade makes great folders. And the number 1 item I will never leave home without, a Gerber MP600, they make a bladeless version that has a remsaw in place of a knife so you can bring it into weapons free zones like schools.

@@JW-gb6hq I own a pair of 2.1 and the calves are fairly baggy. They aren't nearly as tapered as other modern fit pants. Some people really like that though for things like ankle carry. I like a much more tapered cut that doesn't look like tactical pants. Some of the worst offenders are the 511 pants, the Delta stretch are definitely better than those. I found the rock climbing pants made by Kuhl, are also pretty great for stretch, weight and taper as a good alternative. I still love my Delta stretches though and use them for dedicated shooting.

Fun little thing, you can store a small sharp of a ceramic blade in thebrim of many hats. It doesn't need tio be big at all but it gives you a small utility blade to use and isn't detected by metal detectors. You can also stash a flexible saw blade (preferably under 4 inches long) under the sole padding on the inside of your boot/shoe to cut restraints like zipties if you get thrown in a van or truck etc. I suggest putting the saw blade in some card stock paper to avoid ruining the shoe You'll probably never need it, but you'll be happy that you have it if you ever do need it.

I would consider using untrusted hardware as one of crucial factors when creating my own threat model. Since there are plenty of hardware keyloggers and other wiretaps that might be present on the used hw, using others systems IMO doesn't mitigate these risks. This type of devices might not only capture keystrokes but also allow to inject them into running system (if it's bootable in 99% it's linux, probably with fixed password ), I can build something like USB evesdropping proxy that will save USB communication for future use (doesn't require OS running). So IMO a better way is to utilize cheap (but trusted) hardware like thinkpad (with libreboot if you are paranoid enough), with casual OS, probably some LUKS encryption (or even without OS encryption, if there is a chance there will be a need to decrypt it to enter the country/due to interrogation) some dummy setup (photos, documents) that will prove it's not a burner device which will look sus. Really crucial data should be protected inside veracrypt containers with a hidden vault if necessary. HW should be protected itself from tampering by adding some glitter nail polish (and documenting it for further comparison). So bottomline - IMO using usb bootable system mitigates some risks, but I would not consider it bulletproof.

I work armed security for the DHS and part of our job is weapon detection. We are trained to scan each person head to toe especially in the belt line area. One thing to note, if your knife clip is clearly visible on your pants, you are giving yourself away to others as someone dangerous from a mile away. In general, if any part of your EDC comes in clips, do your best to keep it hidden, or you are just asking for extra attention.

Some of this stuff just screams “Joe tactical”! I’m an older dude so I don’t want to scream anything. But I can see you guys are ex military so I can definitely understand your way of thinking when talking about CC gear! Great video!

I think i want that belt. I live in florida and am a high perspirer so i live in shorts because i can get overheated quite easily. I do feel like the pants are really cool though

As far as pants go,if you’re talking about blending in it’s very dependent on where you are. Hear in south florida in the summer the pants your picking wouldn’t really blend in when everyone is wearing shorts if they’re dressed casually.

You definitely don't want to have sciatic nerve pain issues! It's the worse pain I've ever had. For the ladies, 5.11 used to have a pant I liked (not the Styker), Carhardt and a few others make some decent pants without looking too tactically geekish. Having a good purse that has an anti-cut strap is important, and short enough to keep close to the body. Nice tip on keeping a SD card with important info on it! Tails (based on Linux) is a bootable USB OS that offers persistent storage so you can keep all your important data within the same drive, including using Thunderbird for the email, firefox with synced bookmarks, etc., no need to carry a second USB drive. I played around with it a little bit and it seems to work pretty good. It does have Tor built-in.

Kore belts aren’t stretchy but I really like mine it’s comfortable and doesn’t stand out just looks like a normal belt with rigidity that it needs to hold up pistol

How to you store the lock pick set, hand cuff key, back up Sim cards and memory sticks on your belt? Could you show how you keep them secure?

This is a great ad for product for sure. The meat may get lost in the product push, unfortunately, and there is some really great info for selecting gear here as well. One thing about pants not covered - belt loops: they need to large enough to take a proper gun belt and hefty enough to support the weight of gear. Duluth flexfit firehouse pants and Kore belts are great considerations as well.

I may check out the pants.😊 Just wanted to mention that the best pants I found in years were the 5.11 quarry pant which is no longer made. Can you copy those?
