My favourite story about this song is that Tim Bricheno was on tour with the Sisters of Mercy when this song came on the radio in the tour bus and the rest of the lads were all like "Hey Tim, this song's about you! LOL"

Considering what the song is about I do find this track so uplifting . No matter what heartache may be down too things always get better, tomorrow is my own .

Great footage! Remember seeing this when it was aired on tv! Was such a huge All About Eve fan, still am! I saw them on their Touched By Jesus Tour at The Octagon Centre Sheffield! Loved every minute! Wish there was footage of that show!

Farewell to your sweetie when they cross/over is my sorrow, He would have loved this group, he loved every kind of music and played the guitar so beautifully and I miss that soooo, these shared gifts from my NEW FRIEND have been such a healing to my soul.

This was written about the guitarist who she was banging at the time and left her and the band, tony something, began with a b, i just like the guitar and bass to be fair, she sings so nice but thats my drug sadly😃

To the poster who said the mystery guitarist was their guitar tech: THANK YOU! This has bugged me since this TOTP was first broadcast. I was a massive Eves fan but never gleaned any explanation of who Marty Wilson-Piper's stand-in was on this. I mean you might not be right but at least it's *an* answer after 20+ years! Always thought he looked really cool actually - at first glance as it was going out I thought it was Andy Bell from Ride!

I believe he was the bands guitar tech, marty was on tour with the church at the time so they had to get a stand in.

No. It's one of their guitar techs standing in. Marty was in Australia working with The Church at the time.
