I'm an INFP. I think those of us with strong Ne have a very choppy and imprecise way of speaking. We see so many possibilities of how to structure our sentences and also have trouble putting words to our racing thoughts. The stronger the Ne the choppier the sentences.

The difference between the ENTP and the ENFP is very simple. ENTP doesn't necessary mean a person who likes to seek debate. ENTP have the desire of knowing how the world works and the desire to explore new ideas. Like for example many ENTP's love to investigate and come up with conspirancies, like most of the "illuminati" videos are made by entp's lol. The ENFP desires the knowledge to know people's emotions and to connect with people. That's why many people say the enfp have a INFJ view of the world. They also come up with new ideas or concepts, that's why people might think they're weird, because the ENFP says random things when no one asks lol. People always stereoptype the ENTP as this mean person who likes to shit on others and likes to debate, but that's actually not true. One of my best friends is an ENTP and she's one of the most caring person I've ever met. Wish you a lovely day from a ENFP ;)

Omg I agree to this a lot. I have like quite a few friends that are ENTP and they all have the similarity where they just interested in how the world works while ENFP are more concerned about people in general where they are able to perceive people from all perspectives. I am an ENFP myself, but I also share traits with ENTP as well, and both are relatable to me but I guess my natural self would be considered an ENFP

@@InspoCreatorJihye I thought you might have missed me 😜. If you do make that video (which would be a good topic), consider making a strong point in it, that mistyping oneself or being called out on mistyping, isn't the end of the world. Typology is not a religion, a person's type is not their ethnicity, Typology strives to be a science and all true sciences constantly question themselves. An attitude I think the MBTI community needs a lot more of. But with all that said there are a ton of similarities between ENTP's and ENFP's. So your video will be helpful and educational, I am looking forward to it. 🦉

Well, Im super interested in how you discovered you are Fi rather than Ti! I’ve been talking to a lot of ENTPs and we can be really really similar. And it’s through those conversations I found the real differences. Again, I’d really like to talk to you about this or at least hear you explain how this happened 😃😃
@TheRenanDez5 жыл бұрын
Not her but I can help you xd. Ti don't imply action, Fi imply action. From my experience, my Fi friends think they're being logical about their opinions, but if it is an opinion is not Ti. That's why (generally) Ti doms get excited arguing and Fi stressed.
@PsychologyandChillwMichi5 жыл бұрын
@@TheRenanDez Are you implying that she found out that she is an Fi over Ti because she thought she was logical about her opinions but in the end had opinions? But generally, yes I do agree with that statement. However, I would argue that it is not the Fi/Ti that is geared toward the action, but the Te/Fe. And the Te/Fe determine the TYPE of action you would take. Because Ti is less decisive and more able to think itself into a coma, it's less likely to take action. But that doesn't mean Fi is action type either. Fi is just more likely to decide something and go with it. Because there is less debate, there is more action, but the Fi in itself is not implying the action.
@TheRenanDez5 жыл бұрын
@@PsychologyandChillwMichi Michelle Wilson Idk about her, I'm just saying an easy way to differentiate. I didn't say anything about action either, I pretty much agree with your assessment. Take this example: There is a little hole on a bridge that people have to jump over. Ti: eventually someone is going to fall. Fi: people should be careful when crossing.

I recently filmed my eye movements many times to rule out uneasiness at having my phone partially in my face. Complete Ne. It was hilarious to me--I was watching a roller coaster in my eye sockets. Thing is, I was expected boring Ni toggling. I'm roughly half T/F, roughly half J/P, and roughly half Ni-Se/Ne-Si. I did end up growing more and more sure of T, J, and Ni-Se.....Yeah, no, lol. It's similar to what you said in an earlier video about upbringing--my world dissed and mocked intense personal values and abstract ideas. My ISTJ mom was my closest relation and assumed what was good for her was good for me, and my ESTP dad was the best contender for me to imitate and get more extroverted. That doesn't work well as you get older and you fight yourself more and more. So I'm wearing the INFP hat again and re-researching to see how it all sits--so far it's hilarious how right the hat feels and experimenting with not suppressing my natural goofy urges. It's a nice cherry on top of a cake of other psychology topics I've been looking into for weeks. (Not to diss STs in general--it's more an archetypal illustration to hint at how poor of a fit I am in my social environment.)

i dont know if i am an ENFP or an ENTP because when i was a kid and a teenager i was really sensitive with everything, I was sensitive to insults and bad times. now in my adulthood I am quite insensitive and I really enjoy black humor, now people usually tell me than i am very blunt. my enneagram is 6w5 counter-phobic, i always have been very shy also, but im very expressive at same time. so if someone can tell me how tell apart an ENTP from an ENFP just do it

another thing that should be clarified is that now I also enjoy discussing any topic and I have never been good at dancing also i like to listen to other people's ideas but if those ideas are not to my liking or if the other person is silly and superficial I immediately stop talking with him I also do not like numbers (even though I'm good with numbers) or books, or hard science . I preffer study about people, history, Psichology and politics. I really enjoy summarizing readings or listening to videos with the summary of the story, I'm bad with the details of the readings like dates or names. Also i Daydream a lot, i get lost in my mind and my feelings when listening music. I like very emotional music such as Screamo, electronic music, progressive rock and Clasic Music. When im upset i totally loss the control of my actions and i can be very blunt and agressive without considering any rational acting.

I'm sorry but Ne has nothing to do with "gut feelings." And basing something on "past experience" is Si, not Ne. I'm not trying to be mean but I feel I have to say something when there's inaccurate Myer Briggs info. Also, Ni is more about pattern recognition than Ne is. "Ni" is what notices patterns in the present and/or very recent past (based on sensory data, Se) and makes accurate predictions about the future based on those patters. So that's Ni, not Ne. "Ne" is about potential and possibilities, seeing all the possible outcomes and brainstorming ideas. It's nothing to do with patterns. I'm not sure why there aren't more people in the comments calling this out. I'm not trying to be mean or hurtful or disrespectful. But the info is inaccurate. Not all of it. Some parts that were actually accurate were "Ne is scanning the room, looking for new ideas, trying to form connections." Yes that is accurate. Ne likes to form connections, but 'connections' and 'patterns' are not necessarily the same thing. A pattern is just one variety of connection. Not all types of connections are patterns. Ne forms connections, yes, but not so much the pattern-kind. The pattern- kind is Ni and/or also Si but in a different way. For example, if you're forming patterns based off your past experiences (not the present) that's Si (not Ni and not Ne). To help clarify, Ne predicts ALL the possibilities of what "COULD" be, or all possible outcomes regardless of their likelihood of actually happening, whereas, Ni predicts the ONE thing that "WILL" (or is most likely to) realistically happen. Another way to think of it is: Ni will use multiple/lots of data to come to ONE conclusion/idea, whereas, Ne does the exact opposite and may use just one single piece of data to branch out into MULTIPLE conclusions/ideas. - Seems like it was more just the first 1/3 of your video that was inaccurate. The 2/3 and the 3/3 were both pretty accurate. P.S. I'm subscribed to you, btw. So I do like watching your videos!

The bit about the mention of a cat recalling to mind a cat in a bag's design is also Si. So, yeah, some of what she was spouting was wrong while other parts were insightful. Plus, it helps me more convinced I have Ni-Se and not Ne-Si. 😃 She's usually fun to watch though.

To answer someone's question about jihye re typing herself.... ENTP's are great DEBATORS and welcome new intellectual challenges in the name of knowledge. ...I don't see that in her . In fact ALL ExTPs are super COMPETITIVE with a capital C ! ...they love to "stimulate " people and controversial issues in order to get what they are looking for . Think our current president he's a classical ENTP . I just don't see that in her personally . She is more gentle with mbti ...when an ENTP talks about mbti they are trying to get to know OTHERS so they can utilize it later on . Like a basketball player learning his opponents moves . With jihye it's different ...she's discovering HERSELF with mbti to HELP others (henceforth "FP" ) ENFP's use themselves as "guinea pigs" or sacrificial lambs to advocate for a deeper cause.

Basically I use my family members as test subjects and I said it upfront to them. They laughed because they know that I do these kinds of quirky things all the time.

beejohn1016 Honestly, I disagree a bit with this comment. As an ENFP, I debate..a lot. And I can be super insensitive when it comes to debating. I am also super COMPETITIVE with a capital C. That being said, I did initially get into MBTI to learn about myself, but not just myself. I wanted to learn about myself in relation to others. The differences between me and others, why my friends think one way and I think a different way, how humans as individuals operate and how functions can impact that. I don’t think the traits of being a debater or “welcoming intellectual challenges in the name of knowledge” are traits that belong to an ENTP rather than an ENFP. To me, they simply seem like Ne dominant traits period. No shade, of course, but this comment simply reflects a rather shallow understanding of ENFPs vs. ENTPs imho
@beejohn10165 жыл бұрын
Ok I have been typing for 22 years . When I mention the "debater" mentality it's only to SIMPLIFY MBTI. most people do not fully comprehend the characteristics behind Myers Briggs. I'm an INTJ. ..I have an ENFP girlfriend, daughter and had an ENFP mother (rest in peace) I also have a ENTP friend . There are very slight differences between the two ...they also have ALOT of similarities. When an ENFP debates the underpinning is PERSONAL . example Tupac (enfp ) vs biggie (entp) . When a entp debates it cannot be personal mainly because introverted thinking along with their tertiary function extraverted feeling doesnt allow them to get attached to whatever interest they are pursuing .
@gucciasalways5 жыл бұрын
beejohn1016 That’s great and all, but if they don’t understand, they ought to simply learn instead of believe information that isn’t necessarily true or that is only half true. Also, I’ll be honest, I don’t particularly care how long you’ve been typing. Anyone can be wrong, regardless of credentials, as it’s human nature. Simplifying something isn’t all that helpful if it reduces that something into a stereotype. As an ENFP, I debate things impersonally all the time, especially because with most topics of debate I don’t hold a general affiliation. I can “passionately” argue most anything and frequently do so for the sake of doing so whether I do or don’t agree with what I’m arguing. Now, if you mean impersonally in terms of how it comes off to others, then I probably don’t come off as unattached (and cant speak as to whether ENTPs do because I don’t have one in my life) because I bring excitement and personality into nearly everything I do. So naturally, when I debate, I can seem extremely invested even if I literally couldn’t care less about the topic. If you need examples, I’d be happy to offer you some, as I do it fairly frequently. Simplify it if you must, but don’t do so in a way that perpetuates stereotypes. Those stereotypes of “the debater” are the reason I had a hard time identifying myself as an ENFP and remained reluctant for a while even after recognizing clear use of Ne and Te. In the long run, they don’t simplify; they over complicate. Someone being a certain personality type doesn’t mean they all have the exact same strengths and weaknesses. Various things can influence those, so if an ENFP says and actually can do something associated with another personality type, it doesn’t make them not an ENFP. Therefore, attaching specific personality traits without at least specifying that it’s a simplification and doesn’t necessarily hold true is extremely careless, so even if you are some expert, you ought to know better.
