Man I remember the hype when the Genesis Collection were leaked and I will say in the moment right now they're fun to use when playing or to go out and take some pics. I am happy to see that bakugan was able to last up to 5 seasons with this reboot but I greatly hope that we can get stuff for the TCG soon. And if it keeps doing good who knows if SM and Sega Toys can work out things and we get some stuff from Legacy or Bakutech again. I know it probably won't happen but it's good to have hope for the future.

Rulings ideas: Deck building: As stated, an All Faction can be used for any one faction color. When rolled out: In battle it follows the roulette. If roulette says Haos, it’s a Haos. After/before rolling: No faction is applied. If a card checks for Pyrus on your team, it will not work

Saw a bunch on this set at Target a few days ago. I hadn't even heard of the Genesis collection so I was hesitant on grabbing one but man am I glad I did. I love the art and some of designs here. I know my past middle school self would be so jealous of my current growing collection.

I actually brought that pack earlier, and I love how the Bakugan lit up and the Dragonoid has B1000; that's so strong, but it can be countered if done correctly.

I've been using Genesis Dragonoid in my Aquos Troll Deck, and I've just been using the Evo-Rare rules. Easy, concise, but I also understand the "It's your chosen faction except during combat" idea, and if anyone wanted me to use that ruling during a battle, I would. It's not like they have a big, empty character card they could have written any special rules on or anything, pfft, that would be silly >_> I also really appreciate that Jett was just all "I don't know, and it doesn't matter, just do what makes you happy."

what i do with the genesis is simple but fun you cast the genesis to a portal card or a bakucore and it transforms there everything is normal but when the lights go on, the last color light that comes out before it goes out will be the faction that will be used with both the bakucore and the portal cards example: genesis dragonoid transforms and turns on the lights and the last color that comes out before it turns off is red, the payrus faction will be used

I play them where either you can choose the 2nd highest gpower on the gate card or which ever the color lands on, but you can't see what's under the gate card so you don't know what the second highest gpower is, or what the gpower on the attribute the bakugan lands on. *Tldr:* can choose the color or the 2nd best gpower but you can see either gpower

I remember Bakugan like Tristar had a random atribute/G-Power changing ability as well. It was the BakuTactics I think. I thought the Genesis Bakugan will be like them. By the way. I’m exited for the Nova Bakugan too. I hope they do more special systems. It will be cool to see a revival of the SkyRaiders.

Great Video! I recently just purchased this set. I didn't even realise the cards could be joined together to make one piece of art, that's awesome! Relatively new to Bakugan, the box comes with loads of different stuff but the rule book (rubbish) doesn't mention the cores. I've seen a few game play videos and everyone just uses the cores. Question: what's the point of the gate card? The light up ability rule would also only work on a gate card as most cores aren't affected by faction? We're gate cards just brought back for nostalgia (first bakugan brawlers 2008)...

Here's what I'm thinking for genesis bakugan rules you can pick an attribute initially for your deck and then once ur bakugan stands the attribute it lands on is ur secondary attribute then during a battle gate card wise you recieve the highest b power boost between the two attributes

Here's what I'm thinking. In terms of building, you can add whatever faction you want, but if you want to be able to use them on the genesis Bakugan, you either need to have your Genesis Baku use the Faction that corresponds with it, or have partnering bakugan that use that Bakugan.

I'm applying logic from another card game here about how an All Faction bakugan works, but the MTG format Commander has similar deckbuilding rules, kinda. Your Commander determines what color of cards you can play, similar to the Bakugan on your team determining what color cards you can play in your deck. There's 2 cards that were made for the format that don't have a color, but instead let you declare at the start of the game what color they are. The Prismatic Piper is the easier one to understand. (They were designed with Draft in mind, so otherwise they weren't terribly impressive cards overall.) Using this rule, at the start of the game you would declare what color that Bakugan is, and it counts as that color unless otherwise specified. For example, if you declare that its a Pyrus then your deckbuilding and card effects count it as being a Pyrus. When you roll it and the color wheel "spins" it would then count as that attribute for the turn, but when not in play it would retain the declared attribute. So if you played a card that cared about the bakugan's attribute, it would use the declared attribute every time. (Unless you wanted to spin randomizer every time, which might end up being a bit time consuming.) This way there's some level of logic and consistancy. The other way to rule is pretty much what you said in the video. It only adds one color to actual deck building, but counts as every color in the actual game. I don't know much about the card game, so I couldn't say whether either is better or if there's even a difference, but for future proofing sake I think the first rule would be better. If there are ever cards or abilites that care about how many attributes you have or what kinds, having ALL of them could potentially break those abilities. And while adjustments could always be made to the rules, it's generally better to not have to make sweeping changes like that, since that can cause confusion for how the ability works. Especially for veteran players who have gotten very used to one way and now need to unlearn the old method and then relearn how it actually works.

I'm just happy we're going into year 5 unlike the legacy series, i was telling my friends this year is probably going to be the most important one, spin master actually listened and learned from past mistakes and that genuinely makes me happy, also "I am not a corporate shill Jett Kuso!"

Strangely, when I got my Genisis pack (off of Amazon since I couldn't find them in stores due to them being so new), I got the pack! But my Pharos wasn't like the one you have. It looked like the regular Pharos from previous series, just with the Genisis paint design. Yet I somehow got both Pharos cards??? To me, I think this was a packaging error made by the factory or something.

My Opinion Normal Bakugan can be played with Gate Card and Bakugan Ultra can be played with Baku Core.

following the roulette/omni-faction/all-faction tri-rules, flips would probably block damage from only the roulette faction. for other cards it would probably work the same because they’re played after the roll and therefore after the roulette. for deck-building you’d pick one faction, and i cant really find a practical in-game use for “all at once when not being opened or used”. these are my ideas following the logic of the rules you put out at least
