Last time I swam the Saco River I was in an oil slick. Living in Pepperell is inconceivable.

Haha. I remember those days growing up along the river in Saco. Things have changed considerably. Between the Saco River Alliance and the Saco River Corridor Commission, the river is one of the most protected in the state. Fishing is amazing

Your video would be much better if you'd turn the camera around so we could actually see the landmarks that you're talking about instead of looking at your squash. I lived in southern Maine for the first 50 years of my life, born in the Webber Hospital and lived in Biddeford and the surrounding area. It's nice to see the city changing for the better, definitely a lot better than what it was in the 70s.

The houses in windward ridge you mentioned, I’m thinking the 3bed 3 bath at 447 sq. ft. was an oversight, assuming they are bigger than that!

Haha. Good catch, yes. Two are under contract right now with average sq ft of 2000. Not sure what I was thinking when I said 447.

I moved to midcoast Maine a few years ago. I recently read somewhere that Ellsworth is the fastest-growing city in Maine. About Biddeford, I've only driven through it once, and I was really nervous about it because so many people on the City-Data message boards said that it's run-down, seedy, and full of crime. I guess they haven't been there for a number of years but are still talking trash about it. I got my errand done in Biddeford without incident, but did not have time to check out the rest of the city. It's good to know that all those naysayers are wrong. The same people say terrible things about Augusta, too, and I've only been there a few times, but don't think Augusta is that bad at all.

Thanks for the comment. There’s always the naysayers. Biddeford has changed quite a bit. Ellsworth is growing. Beautiful city on the rocky coast of Maine. I’m a big fan of Union River Lobster Pot
