So my hair is just as thin as yours like almost identical but I just want you to know that you are absolutely gorgeous with your natural hair! I know that doesn't really matter if you don't feel good in it but I just wanted to give you an outsiders point of view. I don't know why your thin hair looks so good on you and mine looks so terrible on me but something about your hair is very pretty on you.

This was such a great, informative video. I have incredibly thin & fine hair. It’s been that way my whole life. I’ve tried tape in extensions but it didn’t help my thin hair at the crown. I look bald there when my hair is down. I have been doing a lot of research on toppers since I learned about them a week or so ago. I’ve been thinking of getting this one so I am so glad o found this video! I think this looks amazing on you!!

Great information. I agree with you concerning the price and final costs but it is way to expensive to me . I just purchased my brand new McBook air and that is life one cannot have everything one wishes to have.

Very true! It's all about what's most important and priorities. Having hair extensions isn't a critical need by any means - definitely a luxury item.

The short hairs are called return hairs. That's because the hairs are individually handtied.

I have an idea for a future video. You highlight the front top of your natural hair to a color close to the color of the end of your topper, and then highlight it just a little tiny bit on the top of the rest of your head on the very top but just a little bit on top but a lot more in the front top. Then do the "topper" test. Take two pictures. One with the topper and one without the topper. Post the two pics to people who have never seen you before to see which one looks best on you.

I’m new to extensions. I just purchased a fall to help cover my hair loss from Covid, and I was so disappointed in the quality! It’s incredibly frizzy, brittle ends, and won’t hold any style. Did you ever experience this with your extensions? Was there anything that helped?

That is so weird...that definitely wasn't my experience. I know that when I washed the hair and let it air dry it was very frizzy. But when I washed and blow dried it with a round brush it came out silky soft and perfect. Maybe try that? Or, I would contact the hair stylist who helped you place the order and see if there's something that can be done to either fix or replace it!

It doesn't look seamless. It looks like a wig. Sorry, Halocouture needs more research and improvement on this one.

Just purchased the same one. I need to wear towards the front as well. My issue is that there is about 1/4 inch gap between the top of my head and the topper. My stylist said that it Eventually will just sit flat just have to break it in. Did you find this to be true? Do you have any tips to get it to lay flat. Love the ways yours looks!!

Katie when I looked into the extensions it says I have to see a salon prior to ordering. Is this true? If not can u send me a direct link for ordering

Yes, it's true! You can only purchase HaloCouture hair extensions & toppers through a licensed hair stylist. This can be anyone who cuts or colors your hair. There is no direct buying link unfortunately. There are other similar brands that let you buy directly though. UniWigs is a great option!

She mentions that you need to go through a stylist a couple times in the video? I just ordered one through my stylist after seeing hers. It’s not cheap but I’m happy to have her order it for me- she had a color ring so we could match it against my color and she guarantees the quality.

Aw thank you so much! I'm starting to develop alopecia so unfortunately my natural hair isn't the best but I always know it could be worse so I'm thankful what I have. I just love hair toppers for so many reasons! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

@@katielynnb I often wondered if using the clips wigs and the toppers pulled out my hair in some regions? If the hair loss in those areas? I know when I had the tape in extensions for a year my hair never came back from all of that. Just ruined the follicles. :( Yeah, Love your videos. Your simply the type of person , girl next door that every one can relate to. :)

@@projectbarbi871 aw very sweet thank you! Yes, I've considered that too - but the spots where my hair is thinning are not the spots where the clips are generally placed. But that's definitely something to keep in mind!

@@katielynnb well, Ill say...when I stopped all the tape in extensions....and the clip in....nothing helped. I think the tape extensions is what did me in... ;/

Ill e hair toppers. There are lots of good vendors out there so if one company is out of stock, there are others. I use hair toppers when I don’t feel like doing my hair. I call it the 5 min hair do ;)

Yes - the Halo Couture hair topper only comes in one standard length! Which is approx. 16" - 18" long

I’m hoping to buy one of these this year. Just wanted to ask, when you style the topper is it best clipped in or styled before you put it on?

Either works! For blow drying, definitely while off. But straightening/curling - best when on. It's really based up to your own preference and how you get the hang of it!

I just ordered one through my stylist- it was $820 including taxes. I think some stylists add in a bigger fee than others

I just got mine today. It won’t stay flat in the front. It lifts up and looks so fake. How did you get yours to lay flat?

Lots of practice! Look up tutorials here on youtube, there are many to see! My advice would be to make sure the front clip is near center to your part/top of your head so the teeth can grip your hair there, which should make it lay more flat in the front. Also by clipping the 3 other clips taught around your head, it should make the topper lay more flat as well

You don’t have to have a personal stylist! Anyone who cuts your hair and/or has a license to cut hair professionally can order this hair topper for you. This isn’t the case for all hair toppers, but it is for the Halo Couture brand 💞

Did u just use a round brush and blow dryer to keep it for that long? Any products?

@@amandapalomino4710 yes, round brush and blow dryer are necessary for styling - I use the Drybar Double Shot blow dryer which is a round brush & dryer in one and it's super helpful not having to manage holding two tools AND controlling the topper. As for products, I use anything I use on my natural hair except for mousse!

Hey! So weirdly enough, the Halo Couture website doesn’t list the density percentage or cap size for their toppers - they’re all just one size fits most apparently. But by measuring, the internal cap of my topper is approximately 5” x 6” (6” being from back to front, 5” side to side). Hope that helps! 😊

Do you have halo couture hair coming through the bottom of your fall? I’ve had mine a week and a ton of hair is on the inside of the fall.

@@sarahskinner7002 not that I was aware of. I no longer have this hair topper, I have a new one now from UniWigs. This is odd though. What does your hair dresser say about it? Since typically, a licensed hair dresser is the only person that can order from Halo Couture

My specific hair topper cost me $580. There's a section in the video where I answer FAQ's about the price breakdown and how it's worth it - i.e. if you wear the topper 100 days out of a 365 day year, it only costs you $5.80 per day to have a perfect hair day - every day! For someone with fine, flat hair like me - it's a lifesaver and totally worth it 😘

It definitely depends what hair extensions you buy - standard extensions, the halo ring, the "fall" topper, etc. all range from different prices. I'm not sure if the prices have changed since 2020 but I doubt it. Your hair girl might be including a separate fee for purchasing for you? I'm not sure! Maybe ask around to various hair stylists, or find a salon that carries Halo Couture extensions or partners with them. You can usually find on the Halo Couture website which salons partner with or carry their brand by typing in your zip code!

As a hairstylist who sells these you do not want to wear this everyday. Over time the clips can repeatedly cause thining especially if youre putting it on your hairline in the front every day. Clips should be given a break
