Nanoleaf please develop app for smart TV so we don't have to use computer

This would be amazing if you had an easy way to mirror your tv without the need of a computer, would rival Philips hue and the hdmi sync box. But PLEASE make it cheaper and fully HomeKit compatible!

Bring it to Apple TV!!!!

Please bring a Desktop Audio Mirror Feature. I've been missing this for years for listening to music! Newer Shapes don't have an AUX port anymore and this would be great too sync with multiple panels. Please make this a reality! :)

This does not work with most of the streaming movie providers due to DRM protection.

they should try to get it to work with a AppleTV so a computer is not necessary. Or only needed for the set up.

If you can get that technology to where you don't have to use your laptop that'll be a A one probably by more nanoleaf

This is lame because you need a computer. There should be an HDMI Nanoleaf attachment so you can just split your signal and go directly into the lights. Also if you don't mirror from your computer to the TV but use a game console or an Apple TV this won't work in it's current form, so having an HDMI adapter for Nanoleaf Panels would solve this problem. You can currently do this with the LightMi Neo LED strips for large TVs but I haven't seen anyting that would make this work for light panels which would be great.

Chameleon is my fave! Love playing PC games with this effect directly behind my laptop.

Such a shame it does not work together with a philips syncbox. I was willing to take off my gradient for this, because it looks way better, but i don't want to use extra additional hardware+handling to get both hue sync and nanoleafs to work while gaming. I hope they join forces, or be at least compatible.

Took me a good bit of searching to figure out that the nano leaf shapes ARE a thread router that you can use with the light strip.

i still have issues with multiple monitors not detecting the correct monitor, all the modes are delightful

So, I NEED the desktop version!? Why not just the phone to be able to screen mirror!? I was ABLE to afford the nanoleaf that I had purchased.... And now a desktop is used as an add on too!? Sheeesshhh.... These add on are getting out of control with the price... 😩

@Nanoleaf I now enjoyed using shapes and light bulbs very much using Screen Mirror. But I don't how to connect and use for TV.

I'd love to try this but the desktop app for Mac, v1.2.0, doesn't have an "Entertainment" option, or a sidebar for that matter!

What about screen mirror from Apple Tv that would be awesome? Don’t use a pc or Mac to stream to a tv, that’s a kludge.

I can't get this to work. I'm playing a show from my MacBook Pro to my TV using AirPlay but the lights react to my laptop screen, not what's playing on the TV.

This feature sadly completely broke for me. Don't know if it has been an update to the program or me adding a second Nanoleaf device. Now, the app doesn't detect either device anymore - with no way to reset the app or the account.

why doesn't it work on my pc i can change the color modes and everything but can't screen mirror ?

Thank you very much for educating us I am blind and I have given a gift to my family the essentials but before it started working without any problem but later on it doesn’t respond at all I don’t know how to fix it as I’m blind do you have any options or what should I do for it if you can let me know I’ll be thankful to you

I have 18 Nanoleaf Shapes, do you need Bluetooth to screen mirror?

So is there a way that when I screen mirror my desktop and play music the lights move with the music?

Will not work for a 32-bit laptop, unfortunately. ☹️ An update would be nice, or a simple iOS app would be great !

Hey, everytime I try to start screen mirroring I get an error in the Desktop app. I tried reconnecting, reinstalled the App and even resetted my lines multiple Times, but this never works. Everything else works perfectly, exept for screen mirror. Can you help?

The Nanoleaf app is simply crap in its current state. Basically there is no option to let the app start with windows and automatically set the screen mirroring function and then shut it down when you shut down windows. You'll have to do that manually each time. It's mind boggling how this premium priced led lights lack of this simple function. Quite disappointed.

mine only does this when its connected to the nanoleaf wifi, how do i fix this?

try to connect to my pc and it says that no device are connected to my network even though I did it on my nanoleaf app on my phone... any fix?

Once set up does the PC still need to be on for consoles and dvd players to work?
