I remember living in makati (san andres bukid) was told by locals that as a white dude I should never go to the market on my own because the people might try to rob me but I went once on my own and was cool. I drank that coconut water from the guy with the stall. one of my best experiences ever!

your palengke is exactly the same with what we got here in indonesia 😂 we called it pasar.. there is a little warung / food stall and even a barbershop 😊

My Boyfriend (European) went with me first time to the Philippines. We always buyed our food in such a public market. He LOVED it, he coudnt believe how cheap it was, even if he alwas payed a tourist price for everything haha. It was still cheap tough. Need to show him your video, he immediatly gonna miss the philippines for sure!

I am living in the US for 15 years now, but originally from Malabon. Our house is just behind the consignacion, and yeah, the fisherman brings in their catch early in the morning. Talagang sari sari at buhay na buhay ang mga isda, octopus, squid, etc and then brought to the market. There are even huge tuna sometimes. The freshest cast in the morning market!

Catching up on some of your non-ant, non-vlog videos! This too reminds me of my childhood in the Philippines. My mom... a tiny little woman from South Carolina... LOVED going out to bargain there. She spoke very little Tagalog but she would point and make herself known. You showed the people making clothes. She got me the most beautiful dresses there for me. I looked like a little princess. My favorite was white organza with silver thread embroidery. Long after I outgrew them and we'd left the Philippines I would look at and admire them. I had a large walking doll that was taller than me when I first got it so when I grew up I would put my marvelous dresses on her. Thank you again Mikey for bringing back my beautiful childhood memories of the Philippine Islands.
