I had an outbreak of vermetid snails, at least fifty of them in my tank. I bought a few of these. Six months later, I can't find any of those pesty snails.

They did nothing to the vermited snails in my tank. I wonder if there are different veriety of these snails

@@paulhopkins1905I hear that a yellow wrasse in combo with taking a pair of bone cutters to em works as well. That's my next step or getting more bumblebees

@@SpoobyDooVillianits hard to get to all of them in my tank. I'm just letting my RBTA's take over now. I had a kenya tree explosion and its impossible to get rid of

I love them, they clean up leftover food debris etc etc I got 4 of them in my nano with some Mexicans and tectus cones and some hermit crabs. Never see them killing other snails or small animals, tho keep in mind I have a pistol shrimp goby setup, if they get to close to the burrow of the shrimp they will get hit by it.

@@BrockLeonard Yeah there also vultures those bumble bee snails, if some hermit is molting there waiting around it, if a snail is dieing or about to die there on it. If the snail dies, they get happy meal.

I introduced hermit crabs to my tank and they immediately killed my snails :(

@@45johngalt I removed the hermits, start noticing they would kill my snails to. Now I changed them with Cirith snails, and some extra Trochus histio thingies ;-) works great some of these guys will also eat debris, and if ya got vermitted snails... they will be destroyed as well.

How often would I feed them? And how well do they find food that drifts around in the current?

They will find leftover foods and algae on the rocks. If you are worried they are not getting enough, you could put some pellets around the tank for them to find.

In my personal experience, I never ran into them eating my other snails. I have astrea and turbos

what does 'peaceful snail' mean to you? They will literally eat your other snails as thats what they do.

@@MrSnuggs no. Bumblebee snails eat snails. Saltwater. Thats why people try to use them for vermitids(also a snail). He also even mentioned that they will eat other snails after he called them peaceful in the same video
