@@maxxismycat999 I hope he can keep making enough money grappling and coaching so he doesn't need to get into mma. I think the people we see trying mma from grappling are doing it because they need the money while their body is still up to it. I also hope Pena going into mma is out of love for the sport and not just for cash.

Probably due to less concern about getting caught in training and also more emphasis on pushing the pace to train in fatigue, as opposed to trying to conserve.

@@Nicatlotus i can confirm i train at a pure nogi school and all the gi only guys that come to our open mats feel 3 belt levels lower when they dont have the gi, they are physicaly strong and have ok defense but there is never any threat of pass sweep or sub, people that occasionaly train nogi or 1 day a week are lacking for the most part.

How do you equate not keeping a car to diminished mental health? I'm not sure, but it was implied that he does this to maintain a uncomfortable environment to promote growth. It may appear insignificant, but I would bet at his level, every advantage, no matter how miniscule, could end up being a mental edge and even possibly, the deciding factor in a match. Or am I jumping out the window at joke and looking like a goofball? 🫣
