96 at the door is the sweet spot. Wish I woulda known that before I got the yellow penske. A 12'7 box severely limits loads.

The brand of truck has nothing to do with box size, there are different box manufacturers and any one of those brands can be put on any brand of truck, a couple are Morgan, Summit, wabash Thanks for the videos keep up the good work

The box is 26' (mostly) but the actual truck is around 35' bumper to bumper. My truck is 40 feet, it's a freightliner cascadia with a 72" sleeper and a 22 ft box.

Thanks, great content and congtats on getting into a position where you can now dispatch a driver. Most trucks have about the same width inside of the box that will fit mostly 2 pallets side by side. What matters the most is the door height and width at the back to fit certain height pallets. Got a hino 268 2015. 98"width inside 102" height inside. 98" high at back of door entrance and 96" wide at entrance aswell. Been at alot of shippers and saw plenty of box trucks turned away because they thought they could swing the clearance but shipper refused to downstack pallets or its one solid piece.

The wood doesn't take up extra space because that wood is flush with the etrack.

NOTICE, the boxes are not made by the manufacturers, they are an accessory made by third party equipment vendors. Each truck brand will not have the same box dimensions. I am a fleet technician that have worked on Internationals, Frieghtliners, Kenworths, Peterbilts with Cummins, Detroits, Cats with Allison, Eaton, and other transmissions. My personal favorite truck to work on, get parts, and easiest to buy is Frieghtliners. On most Frieghtliners, everything is made by Detroit, it is so much easier to diagnose, obtain parts, and maintain. Also, I've seen my drivers come back with broken crankshafts or no oil in Detroits with full loads with the truck still driving, cannot say the same for a Cummins.

When you first started off in the box truck business, did you hire a dispatcher/dispatching company for the first couple of months? I’m having a hard time staying consistent on my own, and I’m not sure if hiring a dispatcher is the way to go. Any advice?

Yo, I looked at a truck today, almost bought. It was listed as 102 width, but when I measured the inside, turns out it was 93.5. Then when I finally measured the length, it was 25ft, but the truck was listed as a 26ft box truck. Can 12 pallets fit in a truck where the inside length is 25ft? Plus pallet jack? So, are demensions listed basically the exterior of the box, or are they supposed to be the inside? Hope I didn't pass up a good deal, but didn't want to buy a truck that would have me being turned away from loads.
