That is such a good point! Its first screenshot was definitely in the bog biome! Even though gigas haven't traditionally spawned in Genesis 1, I wonder if we will see any new Carcharodontosaurus spawns in maps where Gigas never existed before. I'll post a new guide if we start to see them.

@@ArkSurvivalGuide tbh, it just feels like giga tlc instead of a new creature. I thought by giga rival, they meant a weaker creature that can power itself by to giga strength by getting kills, not a slightly cooler giga with a few added abilities and every giga quirk imaginable just stuck on.

I've been checking these spots on lost island but still very rarely see one. I reckon it might be easier on the island as all the spawns are close together, and you can quickly check them all

They are the best for the fjordur mini bosses since they can’t go into the main bosses (broodmother the dragon etc) they are as good as Gigas minus the low health rage mode so there actually better in my opinion

There is a giga spawn at the spot you showed last for Gigas but it’s closer to the volcano side

About the last spawn point , I had a base across the water on that island in front off that giga spot , and yes Sir , seen a few giga s there ! Thx for the awsome info tho !

I’ve been doing Dino wipes, killing gigas so the carchas can spawn, they still haven’t spawned yet. Any tips?

I've been on the center since the update haven't seen one giga, but a major influx of hi level rexes, thanks for mentioning the low spawn rate so gonna try one more day then go back to Fjordur

Great info very solid video man. I personally have tamed 2 around the se grasslands on lost within a couple hours. Trap I use is 2 beh gates and 8 metal Dino gates in between forming a shoebox. The circle trap ruined tame a few times seemed to get stuck on the corners. Box shape best just make room for it to actually walk.

the only thing i hate about gigas and carchar is that everytime i find one, tame, or kill, most of the time they will never spawn again.

You have to kill everything that spawns in their spawn, it respawns a random dino

I kinda do in my discord's server. But mostly because when I get around to the spots I knew of (lava Island and far right of map before it), a giga or tons of rexes were there. But I'm sure it'll be made easier for them to spawn someday

i have painful time looking for a carcha in genisis 2 and it just show me a titan only and a shadow main and some rex and ther's lots of spino in the rivers, and also i am going to make 100 days in ark so hopefully i will find a carcha if not i just tame rex or spino

Center is one of the best maps for giga/carcha spawns. I found literally 5 Gigas and 5 car has on the map the other day all within an hour time. I’d find a giga or a carcha that wasn’t a good level then kill it. Repeated the process for the hour and found that many. Got a 145 giga out of it but not a good carcha

So far I've always found one on Center and if I kill one, the next one spawns directly...they're not that rare on Center...on the contrary there even more than on other maps...

Are you sure a Giga spawn takes up a carcarh spawn? I saw both of them spawn next to each other in the volcano oil place.

Even without his atomic breath he still extremely powerful but since the atomic breath is the only real way for him to fight flying kaiju easily i gotta give him a high A tier

In the last spawn in that area gigas spaws in there, but not in the middle, more to the volcano side.

I found a giga and a carcharo in that volcano location on Fjordur, and haven't been able to find a charcharo since. I've checked all spots and eliminated everything in them at least three times and I cant find a second one.

Your wrong about centre I think its the best map for them giga spawn extreamly fast in both north snow and the lava island.

Use the cheat destroywilddinos, you will reset the Dinos in the map, so you easier to find a Carcha

I’m so angry with myself, I bought ark in 2017 but only started playing recently. I spent days looking for my first Giga with my sister and I ended up finding a carcharo, it killed me and my sis but afterwards, we left because it wasn’t a Giga and when I found out what it was not long later, it se spawned when I went back to find it. I did get my Giga though so that’s something, good luck finding this y’all

Extinction has the most giga/carc spawns everytime u go near the snow biome u will find a easy 5 gigas/carc I promise there so many, but they r always low lv it very rare u will find high lv, but if u go to center yes u probably won't find 1 they are very rare but if u do they are usually very high lv that the catch tho with center, now gen 2 u will find em alot carc not so many but I say this chance of high lv r very high on gen 2, fijour is the best in my opinion the lv are good n the chance are fair of finding one, but fijour heavily contested u most likely will run into pvp while taming n I'll say 70% chance u find one 50% it high lv, center 20% u find 1 80% high lv. Extinction 100% u find 1 10% it high lv, gen 2 60% chance u find 1 80% high lv, me personally I go to gen 2 n Extinction to find a breeder then breed In the high lv

This comment is a under statement, extinction on 2x spawns, there were hundreds of gigas, so many in fact that I had to kill them all in admin mode so I don’t crash

Wildcard hasn't said one way or another if Carchas will be coming to Switch, but I would be surprised if we don't see it coming to Switch someday. They have SO much new content and expansions coming out so fast, we may see the Carcharodontosaurus after all the other new Switch content comes out.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't played The Center for a long time, so the spawns could have changed since I was there last. What are the spawn rates on your server? They can appear a lot more or less often just based on random chance too. I saw a new Giga in one spawn location on Fjordur several days in a row, even 2 at a time one day, then nothing for days.

The Center, volcanic Island has been a Giga hub on official since the map was released. They spawn quiet frequently. The center also has a higher "level of dino" average so you have a higher chance to find max or near max level. When the map was first released and transferring between servers was allowed, we specifically went to The Center for Gigas.
