Most of these abilities are Warcraft 3 based. Like Bloodlust, it only affects one person as shamans in W3 had to cast it on every single unit, thats really nice detail here.

@@SolheimGaming Same with Spirit Link with Tauren shaman. There was a unit in Warcraft 3 called Spirit Walker which was basically a ghost-like Tauren shaman that had this ability to distribute damage among multiple units. I think Turtle WoW mentions in some place that their ideas and game immersion is very W3 based. I hope that maybe they will add their version of Outland some day, not necessarily move whole game content to it, but just as one or two additional zones. After all, Outland was in W3 too :)

One little detail: the starting zones are flooded! If you want a slightly better early levels, go to the undead/tauren zone or the elven zone. Do not go to Durotar or Elwynn, unless you like to wait in queue for mob spawns. Or play off hours.

Thanks, I've been looking for a breakdown of the class changes, this answers almost all of my questions. The only other thing I've been wondering about is the new hunter pets, what abilities they can learn, and where they sit on the damage/defensive scale compared to existing pets.

Because most player characters have been buffed, hunter pets are nerfed in relative terms. Although, BM is still a good choice for leveling as always and hunter pets were powerful in Vanilla, able to solo many bosses.

As a hunter player. By far turtle wow is the best for hunter pets holding aggro. Compaired to other private servers and also retail classic

Actually, while having the same name, Earth Shield is different than it's counterpart from WotLK. In WotLK, Earth Shield (Restoration talent) is applied to the target and heals the target when taking damage, while the ES from Turtle WoW applies to the caster. Perhaps it is just a mistake, or perhaps it is going towards that Shaman tank you mentioned as well.

The talent changes are so slight that you will never think its wrong . They only makes game more interesting to explore like it's new to You again. everything new is well forgotten old. Actualy you think it is tbc expansion spells but it is not its early alpha test 0.4 client 😤

So in saying all that, with all these Class Changes, has it offset the meta of bringing 20+ warriors to raid? Or are warriors/Rogues still outperforming leaps and bounds ahead of the other DPS classes?

There’s 24 debuff limit so warriors and rogues are still meta. But because of those additional 8 slots you can afford couple of meme specs like ret or shadow or enchantment.

If u plan going rec bomb u might wanna hold your horses, it does not work the same way in retail classic, u don't store the procs ,in turtle wow it has chance to instant counter attack a single hit after u being crited. Forums and this vid do not mention it.

Its vanilla like. Warriors and rogues are the master class. Druids paladins and shamans are just priests with flavor but less substance.

Paladins in general are the strongest class after the rebalance, there is no need to make em even stronger and the mana buffs (and all these kinda buffs) is exactly the snowball downhill i hope they stay away from

Still can't actually use shamans as a tank because no taunt. They need to add a talent that turns your frostshock into a taunt, equivalent to judgement with seal of justice up for prot pally.

There is a totem that taunts. The rockbiter gives extra threat. But yeah an actual taunt would be wild.

U tank with dps. 1. Don't buff the team with WF, use grace of air. 2. Rockbiter + Earth shock. 3. Slow 1h wep for max SS damage. Crusader on a proc weapon pref. the proc axe that benefits from SP. 4. Strength over SP. 5. Two trinkets that can proc extra attacks. 6. If u lose aggro ? run towards the party member and cast a big heal close to the boss + SS and ES afterwards. In your face heals cause max aggro. 7. Tell the raid to wait for 2 ES, as opposed to waiting for 5 sunders. There's no need for taunt as long as you do good dps and keep aggro, because if you can't keep aggro ? a taunt won't save you either way.

Dunno if you gave it a try, but today was 3.8k which I would say a lot Lots of instances groups, people leveling their chars (at least where I level - westfall, redridge, darkshores, ashenvale), SW trade district constantly having like 100 chars doing stuff

So shamans can do pve in melee? Instead of being pushed to heal? I'd wouldn't argue if they gave them a taunt. Can they tank on shamans currently? A lot of tanking talents

Because spending talents in more than 1 spec will create more variety. You can still get the survival melee talents early and also go to the bm tree to increase your pet and your own melee dmg that would create an interesting hybrid build to fight alongside your pet at close range. If the melee talents were all put deep SV, you would not have points to also reach crucial and beneficial bm talents that complements that play style. it's the same in many specs. Where enhance might want to spend some points in elemental for clear casting that also proc from melee attacks while also getting more totem shock dmg. Or like the retail classic affli demo hybrid that was used a lot in classic with sou link. Or demo sac destro. Feral cat can also build in resto to get hit. And some talents to get clear casting in the balance tree. this way you can have more room to design a lot more builds that can be fun to play and experiment with. tons of new items with unique effects and sett bonuses have been added to for both early levelling to endgame. And the troll shaman racial is very strong on top of everything else the got in turtle. For example to sett up a elemental lightning bolt chain lightning earth shock burst without being interrupted. In a dual, 4 min is long. But in world pvp or vs any mob that might aggro u as a healer in pve and soloing a hard quest mob. That cc can be a game changer to turn around the fight. Or peel a friend you party with. The CD is now 4 min, I think. So for ele/resto solo/pvp especially, it's really good.

They have mostly dungeons at the moment, but they are working on Scarlet bastion, but most of the new dungs take form 1h-2.5h so there is a lot to do innendgame

How to gear up a tank shaman then when mail gear at level 60 gives either intellect or agility? It's like playing a druid bear while having the gear of a cat or boomie ! They should add a new talent that is in the last row of the enhancement tree which can be choosen only if toughness and shield specialisation are maxed with one rank that enables the shaman to wear plate armour !

Check the set gear in Scholo. 4 stats per piece + bonus. As for tanking. Check my tip below. --> U tank with dps. 1. Don't buff the team with WF, use grace of air. 2. Rockbiter + Earth shock. 3. Oh man this hurts my soul... I didn't want to have to get back into private servers but as a paladin main who is also a vanilla fan boy, this sounds like the vanilla+ dream I've been begging for since the cataclysm prepatch... I quit OG WoW for private servers towards the end of WOTLK, and now with phases out my paladin is already only a few pieces away from being full bis... I don't really know how populated this server is or what the timezone bias is for the player base, but I hope it's good because I'm definitely going to be trying this out as soon as I get home... I might even give restoration druid another try too... ahhhhh

They really need someone who is aware of rogue issues in vanilla to give them some feedback and guidance on their changes. as it is the rogue changes are pretty terrible. basically rogues can tank single target at endgame now, and they get a ranged finisher. Thats very niche and 99% of rogue players wont really care much. They should added some better QoL; by making poisons run on a timer and not charges, make cooldown reduction from talents baseline because 5-10 minute cooldowns are awful, that sort of thing. They could have switched 1 or two talents around in the trees to make more than 1 tree viable. as it is rogues have 2 nonviable trees for pve. meanwhile mages arcane tree (which is meta until fire) apparently wasnt meta for enough of the game because it got ridiculous buffs. Im guessing devs didnt even know arcane was the go to spec for top dps mage in mc/bwl and they just made some changes based on what mage noobs complained about on forums or something. And then you get the hybrid class changes which are drastic and make them viable in raids as dps and ridiculously OP in 5 mans and PvP. Rogue QoL isnt even touched, and hybrids drastically buffed and new abilities added means that as someone who mains rogue,paladin,druid I would never pick a rogue on turtle. Rogues dont even have fall damage negation advantage because its baseline now, lol. Sorry if it seems like whining just giving you a fair warning, paladins and druids are insane on turtle and rogues suck tbh, if you want to be a sneaky ganking jerk druid is better at that too.

It's a work in progress. its not about changing every class. The point is to make specs that were underperforming by a large margin vs the top metaclasses viable. The reason rogues, warrior, mage, and a few healers haven't changed much is that they all have builds that are preforming well at both pve dps and pvp. Turtle wow is not a server to change every class. It's supposed to be as close as classic was but with new dungeons and raids that were supposed to be in classic but were scrapped, due to the time it would take to develop it. Simultaneously improve and fix what was currently released. But now you have the opportunity to be viable with the class and spec that you want to play and be a good asset and not getting flamed for playing a “meme” spec. "PvP. Rogue QoL isn't even touched," ? The sap change is huge, you can sap one open with cheap shot, blind a second target and also vanish away if needed. And rogue was still very good without it. There are also been added a ton of items with effects that alter your performance. Like 1 handed weapons that can proc 20-30% attack speed or a 30 sec debuff that give a 60% slow that opens a poison slot for more dmg or reduced casting speed. A trinket that can remove poisons, throwing a net that is usable by all, and new class sets with improved set bonuses. And around thousand more items like that you could fit to your build to create versus different builds when you add that on top of new set bonuses, they are smart to be caseous to change everything too fast. Making all of this and balancing it takes time, And like I said they have prioritised specs like enhance, elemental, retri pala, balance/feral/bear/resto druids, hunters etc to begin with. This server is not a new expansion to classic. It is supposed to be as close as possible but rather an extension of it with new content added at both early, mid and endgame. And more is coming.

Paladins originally only had auto attack until lvl 20, then auto attack with a chance to proc another slightly weaker attack for the rest of their lives. God forbid they get at least one attack lmao.

If you want classic with some changes and have nothing better to do, there's no reason to not check it out. Season of Mastery 2 is looming somewhere if that's also an interest, but no confirmed date on that.

Yes. Wotlk is garbage. Turtlewow is the place to be right now. I have a baby so my time is limited and my play is definitely casual. It's a great time. Not sure how intuitive a steamdeck is for mmos though so i can't comment there.

Pally changes are shit. Ret and holy were already fine instead of working on what need to be fixed he just made the other two specs broken op. Mage changes are dumb why give mages shadow priest buff. Druids were already really strong giving them the undead racial is cheap bullcrap, and there healing was already toping logs.

12 sec SS. SS and the 100 % crit talent in the same build. Baseline orbs of all 3 kinds. Improved hit talent. Not good ?

Been playing for some time, but it doesnt seem that the class changes are meaningfull ENOUGH to break the original meta. Fact of the matter is warrior, rogue and made do so much more damage than any other class that it doesnt matter fuck all what you play. If i can as a fury warrior deal 3 times the damage of say a hunter then a raid leader will never want to bring anything else which is legit. So raid comp is like 15 dw fury warriors. If they pretty much copy changes from tbc they can easily solve class balance.

I strongly suggest against playing on Turtle wow. The mods are authoritarian as hell, and will be IP ban for even opening a ticket (essentially just a Reddit mod with more power). If you don’t believe me do a quick google search on the abusive GMs behaviour on the server. FYI I haven’t been ban so this isn’t just an angry player trying to attack the server…I just hate censorship, and believe it should not be supported.

My suggestion is that you don't try and find out if the devs are Democrats or Republican. Current server is hosted in England and the devs are East European. Shut your pie hole about the war. EU vs. Merica discussion --> this meme chat should be on a joke level. Anal spam, dirge, thunderfury etc. Idk if that's allowed ? but probably will get you a warning.

Gonna copy & paste a reply I made on my video yesterday in which someone stated I was being paid to make Turtle WoW Videos: I'm Getting paid a whoppping 0$ 🤝 As a content creator on KZfaq you are legally and contractually obliged to show product placements & endorsements by ticking a box, in which case the video will show "This video includes product placement" as a text. Failure to do so means KZfaq can take down your channel. I'm not risking my KZfaq Channel just to not disclose a partnership. Almost nobody does. on top of this I also live in Norway, failure to follow KZfaq's CC Laws put me in risk of literally going to jail. 99.99% of the time when a KZfaqr says he's not sponsored, he's not 😊🤝 That being said I have been reached out to by numerous other private servers in the past offering me deals. I've turned them all down. I like to make videos on games I enjoy & actively play, so unless I'm already playing on their server OR I try it out and love it, I turn them down, because I'm not gonna make videos on a game or server I personally don't enjoy 😊 Concidering I already play on Turtle WoW I would love to do a sponsored video for them, but I'm already making videos on their server for free so that probably won't happen 👍

All those shaman changes to make class more viable but instead it did absolutely nothing. Shaman healers nowadays go ench spec to grab Bloodlust and Weapon Totem talents so there's still zero reason to have ench shaman over restro lmao

@@Dustomatic lmaoo, you do realize hunters are F tier in pvp for various reasons? No trap in combat, dead zone, no disengage. Hunters are garbage in vanilla PvP. Hunters don't even become decent until Wotlk and are still very low on the tier list.
