Seeing DBZ Broly in base is crazy, the new producer is evolving this game

Fun fact: Despite the fact people say he hates Goku due to the crying he actually doesn’t, in the Japanese Dub of the Z Broly movie Paragus explained that Broly actually sensed Goku’s power when he first arrived on the trap planet/New Planet Vegeta and that caused his saiyan instincts to go out of control which made him see Goku as a powerful opponent he wanted to fight and kill, the crying had nothing to do with it. Also in the JP dub he only knows Goku’s saiyan name because Vegeta said it right in front of Broly. Broly also only starts remembering Goku right when he is defeated.

Its actually rare to hear base Z Broly talk. Most of his dialogue is from his Legendary Form. Well before Second Coming, and other appearances reduced it to just "Kakarot" that is.

I'm glad that these characters have skills from their previous version instead of generic skill like meteor crash, full power energy wave or no skill at all. I'm so hyped for Goku Black but feel that his scythe ultimate is underwhelming. I'm expecting a big scythe slash that tear through dimension, not a scythe + death ball combo

Some additional things that should be worth noting. Pendulum Bullet can be extended by mashing the input. Seagull Combination has 3 different versions, its normal one, a feint side step in place of the final hit, and replacing the final hit with an Evil Whirlwind sorta roundhouse kick that as far as I know leaves a large gap that allows the enemy to block it. Crimson Edge can be used similarly to the staff twirl of Power Pole Pro, not sure what it can block of it has a hitbox, but yeah you can do twirlies with the scythe. Big Bang Knuckle can also be used as just the punch at close range or with a directional input, not sure which. Gigantic Explosion can't be used in base. Not just because Broly doesn't have the ki for it in base, even cacs with the proper amount of ki can't use it. You _must_ be transformed in order to use it, period.

Broly's transformation and that 1:16 combo string might be the craziest things I've ever seen from this game 🔥I also can't recall rn if any other character has a different moveset transformed, something that brings me back to Raging Blast 2 (probably my favourite game despite last playing as a kid)

DBZ Broly's voice is just "Some Bro". Not all that good, but the model and moves are neat, even if two are reused "Ultra Supervillain" is funny sounding, but Vegeta and Black are nice, I like their moves. Finally seeing Black with the scythe is cool even if it took eight years and really just should've been in a XV3 by this point.

Videl's new ultimate attack Justice Drive is literally perfect for boxing based CACs, my Little Mac CAC will be even more complete and give him the complete full love he deserves that Smash devs failed to give him by 10 million miles. Very happy to see that.
