Marlon and Gus's disappearance dialogue wasn't working. Here's what they were supposed to say: Marlon: "The young man living by the sea is gone? Sometimes life just gets in the way of what we want, it's not uncommon for people to leave." Gus: "I heard that Elliot went back to the city. What a pity! I actually quite enjoyed chatting with him at the bar."

I just love how that in the Black route extra cutscene when you try to leave the farm, Elliot intercepts you, but like what can he do really do to you? Like, you are a farmer who goes and fights monsters. I'm pretty sure we're physically stronger and faster than Elliot whose just a writer. 😭🤣

My theory: You underestimate the undying people of the town. Nobody dies there. Kids stay as kids, old men stay as sages. The bachelors stay as obsessive love interest if they have a player to hook up with. The player becomes immortal only after they move into town to replace the deceased Grandpa (who I assume die of old age because he had moved out of this town long ago!). Those graves either belonged to the first pioneers of the town, or forgotten victims of the people in town!

The fact that this mod doesn’t romanticise it at all and actually shows you how serious this sort of behaviour is is so cool. At first I was into it but the more I played the more I started to freak out like it was actually happening to me in real life.

This is a really well-written mod, much more creative than most of the other ones for sure. I like how subtle and almost tragic it is. It's a very different take on the trope than I normally see. I've always had sort of a fascination with the yandere trope, and sure, when it's done badly it's pretty bad, but when it's done well, it can be a really interesting character study. Going in, I was just expecting it to be a typical Stardew Valley yandere mod, but my expectations were really blown out of the water. I wasn't expecting to genuinely feel really bad for Elliot. It didn't justify his actions, sure, but there was a layer of tragedy nonetheless. It makes you wish things just could've gotten better for him. It's so much more unique than any other take on the trope I've seen, both in tone and in content. Sorry for the mini essay in the comments lol, it's just that when this trope is done really well, I really feel the need to point it out. This is a really good mod.

Exactly this! A lot of yandere mods cop out with them just being obsessed, murderous assholes, but in this one Elliott isn't just going off the deep end. He's aware that his behavior is outrageous and he judges himself for it. He can't stop himself and he does terrible things, but he still has a sort of (albeit warped) moral code. He always ends up confessing in both routes and, when faced with your true rejection, removes himself in the end as opposed to forcing you to deal with him. He does some truly awful stuff, but the best part imo that makes this mod so great is that Elliott is self-aware and resents himself for the way he behaves and feels

This comment and the reply perfectly sums up exactly how I feel about this mod, don't think I'll personally ever try it in my playthrough (I love this boy too much man, I can't do it 😭) but oh boy, watching videos on it was more than enough to make feel things 💀😭 Now I lowkey want a similar story mod with him minus the yandere stuff?? But then again, the reason this mod is so great is bc of those details so not sure if it will give the same feels. Overall I'm both scared and sad 💀

Another super cool thing about this mod is how certain villagers will talk to you after he lets you leave the farm. When you talk to Shane, he says something like “Did he finally let you go?” and it literally sent chills down my spine.

After the bar black route event if you talk to any of the male bachelors they’ll have specific dialogue regarding Elliot’s behavior. There’s also letters and whatnot during certain hearts- and they are something else lol

@@Nico_2202 totally! Regarding the black route bar dialogues: Sam is visibly upset & says “That bastard!”, and others say similar things or wish to distance themselves due to Elliot. As for the letters, they’re usually after the 1,3,5,7, and 9 heart events. Then there’s specific letters for triggered events- such as if you give a bouquet to another bachelor then he’ll write a letter about how repulsive that bachelor is and give you a wilted bouquet for you to break up with them.

I didn't expect this mod to be so well written ! Would have expected it to go with the usual bland "psychopath yandere" type personality you see in a lot of anime, or manga-typed games (Mirai Nikki, Yandere Simulator..), but it went quite the opposite. Instead of an antisocial person with no feelings whatsoever suddenly developing romantic attraction and thus becoming obsessive ; Elliott's personality is already possessive and his actions are routed in a deep depression. Not to justify it, of course-. But it's a very interesting take on the trope, and one that hits quite hard while not romanticizing his actions (other characters holding him responsible, or reassuring the player character that they did nothing wrong really cements this). While I definitely wouldn't want a relationship like that to be in the base game, as they are meant to be healthy working relationships not meant to end in divorce.. it really shows the game lacks any romantic options for the player character before 10 hearts. As a standalone, that 3 heart (stay) scene feels like it could be in the vanilla game, and it's very charming. Anyway, sorry for the rant. That was a great video, thanks for taking the time to record all of this !

This mod was good, he had me liking him until he started showing how possessive and controlling he was. When he started saying I was the one thing in his life that was keeping him attached to the world I freaked. It was definitely a tragic ending and I like how the wizard knew the truth. The was a well written mod and definitely scary

Thank you for this! I've seen this mod played thru a few times but I'd never seen some of these scenes. Typically after marriage, it's divorce then end or being under house arrest then end. I appreciate the effort to show each scene. It let me enjoy it fully. I admire the work and detail given to this mod. It is so much better than the other yandere mods. You can definitely feel the heart put into this. EDIT: Jeezus Christ... The post-divorce scenes are heartbreaking. Holy crap.

Handsome's Yandere is not"Yandere"it's "passionate" I feel black ending is a controlling obsession, but this mod is realy good,I was surprised to look Yandere outside of Japan. In my feel yandere are devoted and passionate only to those they love. they are don't do aggressive,because they're s love someone more than theyself prob.

Believe me, when I saw the title of the video and OMG I just screamed!!!!!, my boyfriend looked at me like I was crazy, but he knows how I am with my husbandos. I like this type of dark air and like obsessive love in love stories. 10/10, It was worth staying up late watching the video. Too bad I can't use the mod in multiplayer, it would get weird. I come here for Elliott (he's my forever husband in SV no matter how many times I open a new file/save) but... I hate Yanderes.... BUT... Yandere Elliott...? Yandere Elliott? Edit: I'd rather make my husband be my companion wherever I go, like that one RPG villager companion mod where you can summon or invite one to follow you around. So I want Elliott to help me kill monsters or fish and farm with me, or ride horses with me.

Hadn't heard about this mod til I was recommended this by youtube. God I miss playing Stardew and this makes me want to play it again just to try this mod! Is this the ONLY way the story can turn out or are there other paths? Is there a "good" yandere path? Because if the whole thing always ends up with Elliott sad and lonely I am gonna be pretty sad myself and burn down Jojamart. LOL I am such a sucker for Elliott that I had like no problems with the events that were happening. 🥴 He's like "I don't ever want to be apart from you!" and I am like "Sweet lets pack a lunch basket and go forage in the woods together!!" 😍 Plot twist HE'S gonna be seeking divorce from ME.

Ok I’m an idiot I literally thought he like just went swimming or on a boat and then I saw the wizard I was like oh! He turns him into a turtle when he jumps in the water I was very happy cuz I thought that was super cute then I started reading the comments and I was like 😰😭 I didn’t think THAT happened cuz he said he wasn’t gonna die I LITERALLY thought he got turned into a sea creature (you know what that’s just my head cannon now)

Can I do both route's in one playthrough? Like first doing the black route, then getting 13 hearts and doing the white route, or do I have to do them on separate playthroughs?

Okay how do I get the cutscene where Elliot let's you leave? On the wiki it says to enter the farm after 8am.. does it actually mean 8pm? Does it have to be raining?

I need help with this mod... When you going out on a "bad ending", Elliot locks you in the farm, I can't get out. I mean, when I exit, I can only read the dialogue, and the game immediately crashes...

What causes you to go on the white route vs the black one? If it's based on the 'negative' encounters, the player character seems to show through those options that they're not necessarily interested in Elliott. Or does it go from the white route to black one? (Although I like watching content about it sometimes, I've never played Stardew Valley, so I might misunderstand some things.)

The black route starts only if/when you get the event for giving a bouquet to all the bachelors, otherwise you get put on the white route

Wait for the white route if you choose the second response does Elliott off himself? Or does he just stand there?

No, he only commits suicide if you have divorce events on. If you reject him in the white route, you just lose a massive amount of hearts. I think it took me down to two hearts if i’m remembering correctly

uhh different route entirely? I think? The dark route starts after you’re caught cheating I’m pretty sure. And then it goes on from there- and the divorce ending happens after you’ve had a divorce, of course.

I installed this mod today and took the white route, but the black route seems very interesting and dark. I want to know, so, will Elliot permanently disappear in the game? I could always delete the mod to get everything revert back to normal right? 😮

Eliot doesn't disappear, you can still talk to him, he'll say ominous stuff like "you'll regret this" and it's implied you're talking to his ghost.
