Boooooooooi. None of the mages scale well in the late game so you can't use that against soren. Also thunder magic sucks in comparison to the rest of the magic in Radiant dawn so any other mage is still better than Ilyana in that game, it doesn't help her that she starts in the scrub brigade and then she goes to the ike's mercenaries, where everyone outclasses her inmediately. She is only good in path of radiance

「Loru Apollo」 Sorry I most disagreed Lighting magic melt late game Dragons IT got crazy good crit rate yah it mist a bit more but that is about it makeing Iliana scale really well into the late game where there is dragons (and where she pretty much the only lighting mage able to use high tier lighting magic) Any way I will give you that: Soren better mid game whit his skill in Wind and Fire being more usefull and his basse stats being quite good. But overall Iliana end game is just much better than Soren (well at less if you give her Blossom make her a crazy powerhouse in the end game because how Blossom work AKA the best unite for Blossom are character whit 40 to 50ish growth rate since low growth rate like 10% or 20% will not get the most form the skill and hight growth rate like 80% growth rate of Soren won't get much form the skill because he will any way get a stats in Magic any way...) So really Iliana is the best end game Mage that is for sure. (haveing a 100% HP growth, 90% STR, 100% magic, 100% Skill, 60% SPD, 80% LUCK, 60% DEF and 100% RES.) she mostlikely will cap her stats pretty fast compare to Soren useing the skill (80% HP, 50 STR, 100% magic, 100% Skill, 70% SPD, 70 LUCK, 50% DEF and 100% RES...) sure it will help him too but note Iliana growth is much better whit the skill compare to Soren. Also what make her so good for me is the fact that she also come whit Shade makeing her pretty easy to farm XP to her whitout too much effort since more of the time she won't get targeted... Yah sure Soren's Adept is nice but pretty lacking for a charcter whit subpart SPD in the frist place (since it activate whit SPD stats) SORRY FOR THE BAD ENGLISH Hope you better understand why I think Iliana is the best mage overall (simply put it because how well she can use the skill Blossom compare to other mage Calill haveing lacking DEF, HP and STR growth for the skill and Soren lack STR and DEF and Luck) Note: Tormod would make for a good Blossom skill canditate but he lack availability so for him the skill Paragon would be better form him helping him catch up if you really want to use him.

Titania can't do shit unless you pump her full of stat boosts she becomes low tier as soon as the rest of your units change class. 13 Strength as a level one Paladin? Paaaaaaaass.

Sunburned Albino Depend of the playthrough really. (she got alot more lock down stats as the other unite. Yah sure she may end up worse in the mid game but in the late game she pretty much on parth whit the other unite onless they got crazy good growth that they shouldn't had. but yah you need to use one or 2 STR boost because she lacking in STR) Any way in Radiant dawn she pretty much top tier unite being one of the great top Cav that are usable alot of the time. what you going to use? Fiona, Geoffrey, Makalov (WTF is this thing?), Astrid (yah sure great mage tank but that STR...). Any way the only chose you can make is this: Titania (Mage tank whit high STR), Oscar (Quick cav whit high SPD and SKILL whitout any good Bulk but solid offence) or Kieran (Solid Physical tank.) Ok ok Renning is good too but whitout any payoff just great from the start.

Titania literally bodies the entire early game herself, and if you just make sure she levels up like once every two maps she doesn't even fall off till near the end

Sunburned Albino the issue with that is that Titania has odd stat growths that make her on par with almost any pre premote in the game if not better. She is also amazing early game if you don't play on using much of the greil squad long term.

Titania is KNOWN for being golden at the beginning and staying great throughout all the game. You're referring to the Jagen type characters. Titania is an Oifey. Know your stuff dude.

They're only as old as the first game they appear in (Path of Radiance came out twelve years ago) so calling someone a pedophile or lolicon for liking a "sixteen year-old" character is the same as calling them either for liking a "eighteen year-old (or older)" character from the same game. All you can really discuss in this regard is what sense of asthetic you like and how well the character was developed in the game, which are the two main factors of picking a favorite character/waifu/husbando.

PoR Nephenee is definitely overrated. She's only good if given heavy favoritism with bonus EXP, forges and stat boosters, which can make any character overpowered after just a few chapters. All that investment just for a lance-locked foot unit with no utility outside of combat. I think the only reason to train her is if you wanna transfer her stat bonuses to Radiant Dawn, where she's actually a lot more useful due to her bases and how many maps she's available in.

Well, he isn't technically wrong about her. Most cavaliers or even Boyd or Ike are going to outshine her in terms of stats really quick, especially since you have to get them to 21 to promote them and when it comes to endgame her damage output is pretty lackluster. With forged weapons she can still kill units with mediocre defense but generals will harldy feel anything. And Por is a really easy game so aside from maybe chapter 4,5 and 8 you really won't need to rely on her and that is speaking about hard mode. And what does bad even mean? He still most likely stomped through Por in hard mode so why should anyone care if he's "bad"? I know you mean well, but you still sound kinda patronizing. Aside from that he kinda nails the other characters like Tanith's sonic sword and reinforcement, Mia being rather mediocre, Calill not wielding staves, Lucia being simply outclassed, Elincia needing a good chunk of bexp or Nephenee e rank in lances. So it's really just Titania

Extra Hachse Mabe he should make that more clear then. He makes it sound like she is just bad. Being pre promoted makes her good because she doesnt need anything to be good. Not great but good. Since she doesnt need kills to be good thats exp that you can give to boyd or marcia. She can even help them get kills, wich no other unit can do. All of por is easy but she is good in earlygame wich is the closest the game gets to being difficult because you didnt have Time to train other strong units. Saying he is bad was bad wording on my part, i meant bad at recocnizing what makes a good Fire Emblem unit. He shits un jill even though her wyvern makes her better than 80% of the cast, praises nephne even though she is mediocre even when trained, praises ilyana even though she is pretty bad for a mage, shits on soren even though he is probably the best mage in the game. Elincia is weak even with bexp, the only thing that is good about her is flying staves, even then her weapon rank is low. Mia is spot on though. I mean if he likes using bad units that is fine. But stating ilyana as best mage is just plain wrong.

I'd personally argue Illyana is better than Soren if anything just because she has a wider range of supports and actually a chance of getting strength ups so she can wield some of her tomes properly. Not to mention thunder magic is stronger and effective against dragons. And Shade is also pretty neat. I've seen tier lists place her higher so it's not plain wrong to call her stronger. If anything I like Calill the best due to bases and weapon ranks And I still stand by what I said. Except for those 3 chapters you can avoid using Titania and not feel a real increase in difficulty. After chapter 11 you rather need flying units anyway. And Titania kinda kills most units in a round of combat early one so she's not exactly Marcus in that regard. I still think she's awesome mind you Elincia is still a great medic due to staff rank and flying unit. But you still wanna give her bexp so she gets some magic ups. And he didn't say a single word about Jill being a bad unit. If he even uses her to kill her father that means he trained and promoted her.

Titania can use the early hammer to not double, you wont realy need it later anyway. All of mid and endgame is so easy her lower stats don't matter and she still has a horse so she can get to places fast, has canto and high weapon ranks. I would say even in endgame only oscar and kieran are truly better palladins than her, maybe astrid if trained. For a unit that is unquestionably the best unit in the game by far for at least a 33% of the game that is still pretty good. He also critisized jill by saying if you realy need another lance unit as if lances where a bad thing. Ilyana is pretty good because magic and avabialty, but soren is faster even with low strength, has even better avabiality and the best thunder tomes are crit forges anyway. He also has more skill and free adept. That alone is pretty good, but if you want to invest more fast ike support and vantage make him an absolute enemy phase monster. Callil is definatly pretty great thouh because you can get her for free. I sometimes wish por had a higher dificulty in the american release, don't know how hard maniac is but it would be interesting to see how higher difficulty would affect the perception of the characters. That applies to a lot of fire emblem. As is most new players dismiss jeigans. When there are people who honestly think that seth is bad there is something wrong. Anyway, nice to have this discussion. I probably came on a bit brash early on, your points have shown me I was a bit to harsh on this video, I just don't like it when people call good units bad and bad units good because it stops them from actually improving at the game. Then you get stuff like complaining echoes is too hard even though it is one of the easiest games in a while.

Anyone who isn't a beginner will likely stomp through this game with ease. You have 2 Master Seals around early-mid game and they're honestly better spent on your healers since they're tedious to train and units like Mist gain a mount. the third master seal is in chapter 21 at which point your entire party should be promoted anyway. I'd agree with you on early promotion if we were talking about harder titles like Fe 5 or 6 but Por is a pretty easy game so it really isn't necessary unless you really want another paladin early on. With only 3 master seals you will have to train everyone else to level 21 anyway.
