A lot of people may already know what I’m about to mention but for those who don’t.... Blood choke - it takes around 7 to 8 minutes for someone to pass out, over 10 seconds could cause serious brain damage or coma, over 30 seconds would cause death if the person cannot get oxygen back in their lungs within the next 60 seconds. All in all, it only takes a minute and 38 seconds till someone choke to death. They tell you this when you train in self defence/martial arts, first aid courses, nursing and other health care course. I’m certain that each and everyone of those 4 police officers that was restraining George Floyd would have knowledge of this. Anyone of them could’ve pulled themselves and or Chauvin away from George the moment he passed out which they would felt or realise almost instantly. Don’t they require first aid training as a police officer in America or self defence training? And the main question is, why is it 2nd degree and not 1st? The Guy was handcuffed behind his back, unarmed and defenceless, pinned face down on the pavement for 8 9 minutes. He didn’t die because he was putting up a fight, there weren’t any scuffle, he was wriggling, barely a struggle if you would even call it that. Even if say given benefit of the doubt Chauvin put his knee on the back of George’s neck initially to keep him down, he didn’t have to hold it there for that long. He could’ve taken it off the moment he felt that George stopped struggling/moving almost instantly as he passed out, he could’ve pulled away and checked his pulse as the bystanders told him so. He had time to think and pull out his stun gun to drive off a concern bystander, he would’ve had time to change his mind. Any one of those moments, George passing out, bystanders yelling at him, he had time to change his mind, it became pre meditated the moment he chose not to and kept his knee on George’s neck. 9 minutes is a long time considering it only takes 1 minute and 38 seconds to choke someone to death and specially for someone who knows exactly what they are doing.

I'm from the UK. I feel like I'm only just getting my feeling around Botham being shot in cold blood by a serving officer. Watching that man hold the boy up with compassion and strength whilst he now has to come to terms with the fact that his father is dead. *and*shot down by yet another serving office. I am sick to my stomach!

Those cop's should have been arrested the same day! Would have stopped all the riots!

I think it was a foolish thing to bump up the charge to second degree. We know what we saw, but it would be much easier to get him on a3degree charge. If his lawyer Can’t disprove second-degree, he won’t be charged with anything! Then we will see the real riots! Should’ve made it easier for the offense not the defense
