This was a True call of duty game .The designers wanted to make you feel like a real soldier so you have a training mission at the start of the game you had a true brotherhood with the soldiers around you and that sniping mission just was a 10/10 FPS SHOOTING experience great job hope the COD 4 remastered will get out as a standalone game! (cause i want pay shit to play infinite warfare) ...

You should make this a mini series Jack - go through FPS games and pick out some of the best SP levels, maybe you could start with Cliffhanger from MW2 - just an idea. Great video once again man :)

All though a lot of the comments are using nostalgia goggles (a common misconception where things from past were better than what we have now, similar to juvenoia) but I think what made this game so good for me was that when I played through this (I was 13) I really felt the connection between me as Lt. price and Cpt Macmillan. I really trusted him to guide me through this mission as a kid, all though I felt like the main character (as I should) I also feel like the game did a great job of the give and take between a Lt and his captain. Now the reason games can't capture this today could be for a few reasons. I think the biggest reason is that we are used to it by now and it doesn't feel as impactful, remember at the time of cod 4s release this truly was ahead of its time and the first of a generation. Now we just assume in these games that it will happen and assume the developers make a good connection between you and your captain, rather than being surprised by it for the first time.

What a classic, this really takes me back! I think it was your walkthrough that eventually cracked it for me. Surviving the shootout in the playground at the end was the hardest part of this game.

The music of this level is absolutely superb. It creates a stunningly immersive atmosphere and you truly feel like your mission is intense and fraught with danger.

Man the music gives me goosebumps! Gives you a real feeling of dread and hope at the same time!

such a simple game, no gimmicks, just a very solid game

Basically, in COD stealth missions, if you get spotted, the whole entire military sends thousands of helicopters and jets, and billions of troops

I loved this mission. It was so exciting and heartpounding as a kid and it still is.

My favourite mission in the whole series. Never fails to get my blood pumping and me on the edge of my seat, I love how it keeps changing up the pace. Even if you don't know what happened in Pripyat there is still a really eerie atmosphere due in part to the creepy ticking everytime you wander near the borders of the map.

I still will never understand why they didn't make a full game like this. I would buy it without hesitation.

Before, when I first played this, I didn't think Chernobyl was a real place. 6 years later, I decide to google it. What happened there was horrifying.

What I like about jack is how he doesn't ask for likes in fact he encourages people to dislike his video if they feel that way. Not many youtubers like him anymore

I played this campaign blind in around 2012-2013, it was my first CoD game, and when I got to this mission I thought it was long and drawn out. Looking back it's a very well made mission and a lot of fun to play.

This brings back soooooo many memories, *flashbacks* the things i SAW, no my friends, the GUN shots, the Bodies, the helicopters noooo help

I use to love replaying these two levels over and over and exploring. I love the setting of urban and wilderness. Especially as this takes place in Pripyat/Chernobyl. The music also made it an amazing experience. I hope IW makes the remastered version even better
