He's actually a very average midfielder. Great goal scorer but a very bad midfielder. And his biggest issue is consistency. Very glad for his goals but his overall play as a midfielder is very bad. He should be moved back to the attacking position. His finishing and shot accuracy is very impressive. I am one of those who believe he'd contribute much better as a striker than as a midfielder.@@Tdoggg

He was wasted in a defensive double pivot. He's still not good enough to play in that position, but he's more than good enough to play as a second striker. Blame the managers that used him there or the recruitment team that was unable to buy a proper defensive midfielder for at least ten years?

Our fans are biggest problem. I can name 15 players who give their all in the last 10 years that they slated and wanted out the same way they do mctominay. Fergie would dominate europr with players like mctominay.

We can't sell him. He would thrive at a team like Newcastle or West Ham. He's not a midfielder, but he's also not what you'd consider to be a natural striker, so it's difficult to know where to put him, but he just has to be in the team because he's always in the right place at the right time.

@@Mopark25 Mount is bang average and has been for the past 2 years. I'm all for saying that McTominay isn't good enough for us in the long term, because he isn't. He's not a midfielder, so we're practically a man down whenever he doesn't score. Mount isn't the answer though. It was a ridiculous decision to sign him for £60m, especially with 1 year left on his contract, and give him the number 7 shirt.

@@cccbeats_ Mount has been very good when he has played, connected play and tackled well. Not sure where you're getting bang average from, unless you're just looking at G/A, which doesn't tell the entire story. Plus he is decently creative as well, he had great numbers for Chelsea. We need him, Eriksen and an in form Casemiro back. People are forgetting how shit our midfield is as the moment, and then wonder why we can't create.
