Which is your favourite atomic breath? - Alastair

It's funny to see how powerful his atomic breath became. It started out as a mist of radioactive vapor that mostly just burned and melted things and now it's so op that it can create massive atomic explosions and can blast a tunnel to the center of the Earth.

“Deadly but not fatal.” Kinda funny since 2014 was the only Monsterverse movie where Godzilla actually killed another Kaiju with JUST his atomic breath.

I learned awhile ago, in Japanese culture purple is also associated with murderous intent. Shin Godzilla and Minus One definitely have my favorite atomic breaths.

When I first saw Shin Godzilla, I thought it would be hard to top the weight, power, and spectacle of that atomic breath. Then I saw Godzilla Minus One. I haven’t been so blown away in the theater for a long time. So much so that I have seen Minus One three times already. Worth every penny! I would say my honorable mentions go to GMK and Final Wars, as those iterations were the most frightening/awe-inspiring as a child.

He sadly forgot the one special Atomic breath in GMK. In the final battle with Ghidorah, Godzilla absorbed Ghidorah's lightning attacks and fired an lightning infused atomic breath at Ghidorah, killing Ghidorah with it.

Seeing his atomic breath with the nuclear blast and mushroom cloud effect in Godzilla Minus One was something spectacular, especially in the theatre. We’re so used to cheering as Big G blasts enemies with it, I’d almost forgotten how truly somber and devastating his power is when the heat ray is aimed at us, the people.

Godzilla minus one had the best atomic breath. So badass

11:53 common misunderstanding, Godzilla 2021 was actually not even at his full power by the events of GvK. In fact, it was said ever since Godzilla Dominion, and after he found a new home, he didn’t get to finish his healing process it was cut short by MG’s calls. So he went out to destroy those calls even though he wasn’t fully healed. Godzilla 2019 he was in his regular full power/base state, thus his atomic breath would upscale from wherever G21 was shown to do. Which just shows how insanely durable Ghidorah must be in order to tank his atomic breath (as seen in kotm)

I love the Atomic breath

The unhinged, natural disaster taken god form in Shin Godzilla gave me goose bumps, the first time the flame breath started, i was like "thats crazy" and then it refines into the beam, just the raw destruction for no reason other than to destroy left me in awe lol I've never been scared by the idea of Godzilla until I saw Shin, just something absolutely feral about it.

The best Atomic breath award goes to Burning Godzilla. Not only does the charge-up look beautiful but it gets better each time it's used. Heisei Godzilla easily won this. There was no competition.

Godzilla Minus One's atmoic breath blew me away when I saw it in the theater. Definitely one of the most powerful if not the most powerful of all the atomic breaths Godzilla has had.

He looks like an absolute BEAST in his new colors!! Love it!

I love Godzilla's atomic breathe, and it's many forms. It's one of those things you got to get right when you do anything Godzilla like the three rows of dorsal plates, the roars, the stomps.

For me minus 1 breath was what really did it. Cause while a lot of it is beams I loved the recreated nuke bomb effect it made and seeing it theatres really upsold that to me Just gave that sheer "oh shit it really is a nuke" and not just a deadly beam that is portrayed and melts everything it causes devastation like an actual bomb would on top of it being a beam

I really liked that you did this video going over Godzilla's different atomic breaths throughout the decades my top 3 are 1954 minus one and the blast he used to drill into the hollow earth in gvk.

Nothing could ever top the spiral atomic breath. Godzilla 2000 design and atomic breath is a hard one to top. That is until Shin Godzilla. That was the most deadly form yet.

I think the 2024 Godzilla is by far and away the best looking evolution of him ever in my opinion the magenta colour is just perfect and I for one can't wait to get to the cinema to watch this movie.

Minus One was just beautiful. Instead of a powerful fiery beam he launches actual radioactive nukes. 🤌

With Legendarys atomic breath. I’m sure some of y’all know this or not, but from the first atomic breath in 2014, Godzilla hadn’t harnessed full atomic energy, throughout the years, the Gman fought Muto prime and other Kaiju, during his fight with Muto prime, his plates broke apart from the sub/sonic sound waves give us the iconic plates from 54. And during those 5 years, He’s been gaining atomic radiant in his Home and Power plants, his atomic breath evolved, and he somewhat got full atomic power, until GVK when he fully controlled and gained full power, which was why 2014s was scattered, 2019s not fully charged, and GVKs fully transformered into it looking more focused

My favorite have to be Minus One and Heisei Goji’s Atomic blast, one being a spiral heat ray of meltdown death and the other just being an incredibly horrible nuke. Both are pretty cool. … Although l in my opinion, Shin’s atomic breath feels too… Over the top in my opinion? I mean, it feels like that entire city is just GOING to be erased.

Nowadays in the Reiwa Era, we use state-of-the-art CGI (Computer Graphic Imagery) to create the iconic abilities that we know and love. So my question is: If computers never existed from 1954 to the 1970s, how exactly did Eiji Tsuburaya add those special effects onto the screen?

His atomic breath has been the iconic an Main favorite weapon of mine and he G-man my favorites are *Minus One , MonsterVerse , Shin , Earth & Heisei* pretty much and I hope in GXK in his new Magenta/pink form he’ll finally have the *Spiral Heat Ray* hopefully! - can you guys do *The Man In The Suit (Godzilla Analog Series)* for a Halloween special for 2024 I would love that or do it now whatever!

Atomic breath just takes my breath away.

In all gojira movies has he face another gojira(excluding spacegojira and biolante) because he regularly feed on nuclear radiation, aside from that most of the gojira survive or don't take damage if a nuclear bomb were to explode on point blank range, what I'm getting at is if another gojira were to fire an atomic breath to another then would that suggest the other gojira would absorb it and not be harmed? Like example legendary vs hesei if either of them were to be hit with an atomic blast would they just absorb it or will they still take damage.

I finally know how godzilla works imagine him as a plant he takes radiation which comes from fire radiation is heat flowing there the air or empty spaces so imagine radiation as sun light the sun is made of flames so then the light from the sun is basically like radiation so just like plants godzilla takes radiation and maybe he drinks water of screen and obsorb radiation just like how plants obsorb sun light and get water from rain then the plant does photosynthesis so godzilla combines the water and radiation to somehow make nutrients to make his body evolve and make him full and the remaining radiation he combines them to make his atomic blast because radiation comes from fire if he combines radiation it will re make the fire and he is blasting it so fast that it looks blue but when it hit something it makes normal fire on the target

one thing i've never understood is: why is the head of Legendary Godzilla so small in comparison to the rest of his body? when i first saw him in 2014, my first thought was " why is his head so small? " as far atomic breath weapons, i think his most iconic one has got to be the King of the Monsters/Godzilla Vs. Kong where his dorsal spines slowly light up from his tail to his head.

These are my rankings of the atomic breaths. 1954: 8/10 Misty but cool 1955: 5/10 way too misty 1962: 6/10 still a bit misty 1964: 6/10 same with that one 1965: 6/10 still descent 1966-1975: 7/10 a little better Hanna Barbara 1978: 8/10 if only it were more like a beam then I would give it a possible 10/10 1985: 6/10 too bland 1989-1994: 8/10 simply cause it’s a bit staticy 1995: 9/10 actually kinda sick 1998: 9/10 if only it were not too flamy then I’ll give it a 10/10 1999-2000: 10/10 PERFECTION 2001: 8/10 just a bit misty 2002-2004: 10/10 without question. Since Legendary Godzilla was going through his metamorphosis, his atomic breath should've been white, just like the progenitor's atomic breath, and his dorsal plates glow white as if icy crystal was growing out of his body.
