In this video I will be going over how to make you very own All Grain Whiskey.
The recipe and process is as follow;
2 KGs of White Cracked white Maize
3 KGs of Oats
1 KG of Barley, I started with unmalted and Malted it myself.
20g of Brewers Yeast and 15Gg of bakers yeast.
30l of water
If you use the unmalted barley you will need to malt the barley yourself.
Check out Bearded and Bored Video below.
• HOW TO MALT CORN FOR M...
Once your barley is malted you need to grind it I used the green barley, (un-dried) so I just juiced it all.
Grind up you Oats and boil for 25minutes this will release the starches and Gel the grain.
Add the white maize and oats to your mash turn and then add your strike water, you can use Jesse for Still-it Strike water calculator link below:

Remember to take into account the temp of the Barley, I had my wash at 72c before adding the juiced barley.
Cover and leave for 90 minutes this will convert all the starches into sugars.
After 90minutes transfer the wash to your boiler, remember to filter out the grain, safe the grain you need to sparge the grain.
Once the wash has been transferred into the boiler wash your spent grain with some hot water I used the teabag method.
Once all the wash around 25l is in your boiler bring it to a rolling boil, boil it for 25 minutes to an hour to kill any unwanted bugs in the wash.
After the boil cool down the wash as fast as you can to 25'C, transfer to your fermentation vessel add your yeast and off you go.
After about 5 days the fermentation should have ended, You can now add your clarifying agent and leave it for 2-3 more days for the yeast and sediment to settle out.
The just add it to your still and run it.
