The reason why Woods can technically guess why it's not Menendez (AKA Mason) Kravtchenko tells that Menendez has a contact in the CIA (Plus on the mission where Menendez goes nuts, a file of the CIA can be retrieved) The person giving the order to Frank is ''Hudson'' who's a CIA agent (in reality Frank is talking to Menendez's contact (hence why he was communicating by Radio)

Nah Hudson wasn’t Menendez’s contact, he was being forced to give Mason and Woods false info to protect David because if he didn’t comply to menendez’s orders Menendez would kill David

It was still Hudson telling Woods to shoot Mason. Just that he was forced to give Woods the order because he and David were held hostage by Menendez

Black ops trilogy are well known greatest cod not just the zombies mode but also the choice in the campaign and the consequences. Especially black ops 2 and cold War. I hope black ops 6 didn't get this choice in the campaign just like his older brothers.

"To those you serve, your life means nothing"- Menendez He was right, Farid will be forgotten for the rest of the game if he died in that moment. Black Ops did better at portraying the gray-ness of war than the reboots of MW by making the good guys do bad things, same with Adler who brainwashed and killed Bell in Cold War.
