There is a lot i disagree on. in the demon slayer fandom by now its a proven fact that giyuu is at least stronger than rengoku. proof is when akaza stated himself that giyuu was the strongest hashira he fought in the last 50 years, meaning rengoku immediatly isnt above giyuu. rengoku's only feats was killing lower moon 2 and somewhat able to hold akaza for a couple of seconds while the moon was coming out (and saving mugen train passengers if u actually care about that). meanwhile giyuu had a mark, red blade, one shot lower moon 5, fought akaza and was landing blows on muzan and demon king tanjiro, something none of the other hashira could do. these feats could maybe even be above muichiro who was only able to go upto upper moon 1

She was able to blitz Douma multiple times before sacrificing herself to weaken him. 8. Tengen Uzui: Had the 2nd strongest arm strength of the hashira and arguably the 2nd strongest in terms of physical strength via the arm wrestling match against Gyomei. Displayed some extent of poison resistance and was able to continue fighting the upper moon 6. Despite having aid he sustained too many injuries when fighting the weakest upper moons and had to retire from demon-slaying after the battle. 7. Rengoku Kyojuro: Was able to face off against casual Akaza solo and give him trouble despite not having his demon slayer mark after saving the people on the train with Tanjiro and the others. Tengen could possibly be as strong as or stronger than rengoku 6. Mitsuri Kanroji: One of the physically strongest pillars. One feat of strength was being able to rip off some of Muzan's tentacles with her bare hands. As well as her body's extreme physical strength and durability, Mitsuri also had incredible flexibility and nimble reflexes, being capable of dodging and outpacing Upper Moon Four's attacks and using flexibility to fight. 4. Muichiro Tokito: Unlocked his demon slayer mark and made quick work of Upper Moon 5 Gained access to the see-through world on his own Turned his blade red and sacrificed himself which aided in Kokushibo's defeat 3. Giyu Tomioka and Obanai Iguro: Giyu: Acquired his demon slayer mark in the fight against Akaza fighting alongside tanjiro. Proceeded to encounter Muzan after his fight with the upper moon 3 with Tanjiro and then with the rest of the corps Obanai: Kept up with the other hashira against Muzan despite lacking a slayer mark Unlocked his slayer mark, red blade to outshine the other Hashira in the Muzan fight Gained access to the see-through world and continued fighting even after losing eyesight 2. Shinazugawa Sanemi: Was able to fight one on one against Kokushibo for a while without a demon slayer mark Sustained injuries that would have killed any other hashira in the upper moon 1 fight and was still able to move on to fight Muzan where he was useful and survived. 1. Himejina Gyomei Not much to argue here he was already confirmed the strongest on multiple occasions Now for my arguments to defend rankings I believe people might disagree with Giyu and Rengoku A lot of people would argue that Giyu should be placed above Rengoku while others will argue that it should be the other way around as Rengoku by himself gave Akaza a hard time without having a demon slayer mark. While I recognize that Giyu's 1 on 1s with Akaza were shorter than the fight Rengoku had, My point for placing Giyu above Rengoku is that Giyu was still able to survive after attempting to defend against Akaza's strongest technique Final Form: Blue Silver Chaotic Afterglow which Akaza didn't use on Rengoku if I remember correctly and Giyu also continued towards the final fight against Muzan. A shorter proof for why Giyu is stronger is that Giyu easily negated Akaza's destructive style which almost killed Rengoku before he got the mark so unmarked Giyu is at least on the same level as Rengoku. The strongest 3 after Gyomei (Sanemi, Giyu, Iguro) (Why I removed Muichiro as thirs and put Giyu and Iguro instead) Muichiro and Giyu - Feats show that Giyu is stronger than Muichiro Pre mark he easily negated Akaza's destructive death and was saving tanjiro who was pillar level from Akaza. Akaza scales above Gyokko so unmarked Giyu would have an easier time dealing with Gyokko's attacks than he did against Akaza's. Before the infinity fortress, Giyu and Sanemi had a spar and it ended as a draw due to their swords breaking. Although a lot of people argue that it's just a spar and not an actual fight which i was one of the people who argued like this, there are a few things that make this more than a spar: They were using wooden swords so they can fight without worrying about causing serious injury or death (although this puts a limit on their attack potency) The point of the spar is that it's part of the training to awaken the mark so the fight had to be serious to simulate the rigorous conditions to make the mark appear. So from the spar, we can see that Giyu can keep up with Sanemi's combat speed. Sanemi scales above Muichiro with ease as he kept up with casual kokushibo who perception blitzed marked muichiro so by logic unmarked Giyu scales above marked Muichiro before Muichiro got the see-through world. After Muichiro gets the see-through world he still isn't as strong as marked Giyu as the see through world doesn't amp stats like physical strength, movement or combat speed it amps prediction and reaction abilities. But we saw that STW Mui couldn't react to and evade Kokushibo's wide-range attack as well as Gyomei and Sanemi could. Later in the Muzan fight Giyu reacted alongside Gyomei and Sanemi to save mitsuri so this feat proves that marked Giyu has better reaction than STW Muichiro Hence unmarked Giyu > marked Muichiro (pre STW) and marked Giyu > marked Muichiro (with STW) Muichiro & Iguro - After going through the manga again and arguing with power scalers of the verse it turns out that Iguro is still stronger than Muichiro. Even though he was fresh Iguro's feats still put him on the level of Sanemi and Giyu which Muichiro isn't on that level. Being able to react on par and in some cases better (because he was fresh) with Gyomei, Sanemi, and Iguro towards Muzan's attacks which Muichiro with the see-through world was unable to do. Giyu and Iguro- I discounted him as being unarguably stronger than Giyu not only because he was fresh which I have stated over and over again but because Giyu can arguably do what iguro did should he be fresh. For the most part Giyu and Sanemi were keeping up and they only needed to be saved by iguro once. It was even implied that Gyomei was getting shielded Viz translation said "i can no longer shield gyomei" just posted this other translation since I already had the scan. So all the male hashira had to get saved or shielded at least once. So a wounded tired Giyu was able to keep up like the others Sanemi - I have seen a lot of people say that Muichiro and Iguro (mainly Iguro) are ranked above sanemi due to their access to the see-through world which Sanemi lacks. Not only was Iguro lesser adept with the see-through world than Muichiro (I argued why earlier), the better counter-argument is that one hashira isn't stronger than the other simply because they have a power-up that the other doesn't and this is seen as: Sanemi in base form (without the mark) was able to keep up with Kokushibo and Kokushibo used more power in fighting base Sanemi than he used to beat marked muichiro. Therefore base Sanemi is stronger than marked Muichiro (I don't know who is stronger between see-through Muichiro and base Sanemi). The second reason why I ranked sanemi as second strongest being above Iguro is that he was still able to be useful in the Muzan fight despite receiving the fatal injuries earlier in the kokushibo fight and where people would say that Iguro did better against a stronger opponent not only would I mention Iguro's state of having the most energy, I would ask how is Muzan above Kokushibo? I mean yeah he's the boss villain but he was drugged and stated to be getting weaker over time so it would be hard to scale Muzan. Let me also bring up kokushibo's statements on Sanemi and Gymei saying that they both must be highly skilled even amongst the Hashira especially Gyomei. You might want to say "how does Kokushibo know he never fought the others" but remember that Shinobu stated that the demons shared intel with each other.

This was really excellent. I think your ranking was accurate. What I liked is how you kept on emphasizing how all of hashira, including the lower-ranked ones 9-6, were incredibly strong. I always hate the way so many fans dismiss one hashira or another as weak. Only 9 humans out of the entire Demon Slayer Corp have demonstrated the skill, strength and mindset to become hashiras. They ALL deserve the respect and admiration you display i this video. You spoke with such enthusiasm about everyone's abilities and explained them so thoroughly after your video everyone seemed #1 in their own way. I especially liked the ways you explained Shinobu's skills, Tengen's musical scores and why Mitsuri was so physically strong despite her appearance.. You also explained the abilities of the gun demon, Lower Moon 2, Harou in a way that I finally understood his dimensional pockets and his shadow ability to nullify sword techniques. Ditto the Flute Demon's ability to disrupt nervous systems. My only gripes were a few small details in the intertwining history of Rengoku & Mitsuri, which no doubt others have also pointed out in the comments ad mauseum. I can only assume these happened because despite explaining the abilities of Lower Moo Harou the Gun Demon so thoroughly, you mentioned you read an incomplete version of Rengoku Gaiden. Rengoku's father, Senjuro Rengoku, DID NOT train Mitsuri. The flame hashira WE all come to know and love during The Mugen Train Arc, "OUR" flame hashira; KYOJORO Rengoku did. Although he was a kinoe, the level before hashira, our Rengoku was training Mitsuri. NEITHER Mitsuri OR Rengoku were hashiras when they fought the then Lower Moon 2, Harou. By toe to toe against Harou and slaying him in single combat, Rengoku fulfills one of the requirements of becoming a hashira, slaying one of the 12 Moons in single combat. (The alternate is slaying 50 demons). He earns his flames to fill an open spot, as his father Senjuro has more or less retired in a drunken depression. I am not sure when or how Mitsuri follows her mentor and also becomes a hashira. Normally, if someone made these errors, even though they are relatively minor, I would have stopped watching the video. However, because your depth of knowledge and the quality and enthusiasm of your presentation were otherwise so exceptional, I not only finished the video; I susscribed.

I feel like shinobu is slept on by the community a lot, as you stated Douma was having trouble keeping up with her speed and was able to immobilize him with poison for a long enough period of time for (spoilers) Inosuke and Kanao to kill him. Douma couldn’t keep up with her speed, what makes people think that at least half the hashira couldn’t either? One stab and they are out. That’s why I think she’s above Tengen Mitsuri and Rengoku on the 6th spot

This is a good video, but there are a couple things, 1. Akaza was messing around with Rengoku that’s why he did more damage than Giyuu 2. Sanemi is stronger than Obanai 3. Himeji didn’t create stone breathing, it’s one of the original techniques although he is the only person we see using it

Ok fam you're gonna' love this.. So whips actually break the sound barrier. The composition and structure of a whip makes it so that if you master the technique you hear the Crack of the whip. That whip "crack" signifies the sound barrier breaking. So if you add to that the fact that the person has anime strength plus one of the highest in the verse in strength.. Well I would guess that whip is basically breaking the light barrier.
