@paulatredies Not quite. There's summer and winter solstices; vernal (spring) and autumnal equinoxes. The equinoxes are when the day and night are of approximately equal length, and the Earth is not tilted towards nor away from the Sun. Solstices are when the Sun appears to reach either its northernmost or southernmost (depending on which solstice it is) position in the sky.
