U2 always have such meaningful lyrics and great live performances. I loved this! I really urge you to listen to the Playing For Change cover of I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For/Song Around The World. Proceeds donated to international charities and efforts to find missing people around the world.

Hey Kay, you said it perfectly! U2 is an amazing band who always have something relevant to say. This song is very powerful and emotional. It is gorgeous. I will definitely listen to the Playing For Change covering U2 😀

Its good but there are much better performances of this song out there. Maybe it's the sound quality isn't quite as good. It's also played faster here it seems. Anyways, imo the best performance of this song is the Slane Castle one. If you get a chance watch for yourself. You won't be disappointed. Also, I suggest One Tree Hill (Rattle and Hum outakes) for your next U2 reaction.

That’s not the best version of that by the way. Best version is from U2 go home (slane castle) where they Segway into where the streets have no name. It’s a must! Astonishing

This is not bad at all, but IMHO it's nowhere near as good as the official video version .. You really need to have a look when you get time, Sue .. It's a poignant storytelling vid, that when combined with the perfect studio recording takes the song to a whole different level .. Do yourself a favour !

@@playitagainsue I just about always prefer to hear the studio versions of songs first, to see how the song was intended to sound when released to the public by the artist .. Then after that is in my head, I can see how they have changed things up when doing them live .. And occasionally I will actually end up liking the live version better .. But when you are doing reaction videos, I appreciate that you generally can only do one or the other, but not both .. And you would understandably want to do some studio songs and some live ones .. I'm just alerting you to how good the official video version is for this one, so you don't miss out on seeing it too .. Cheers, Wayne

Hi Wayne, I watched the video. What a bittersweet story that is! Beautifully filmed. It is like a movie. So was it her that died in the end. It could have gone either way...almost like it told 2 different endings but I thought it was her. What is your take? Definitely worth viewing. It is a gorgeous video. I think I preferred the vocals live but the video is exquisite! Thank you for suggesting that video. 😊❤

@playitagainsue Hi Sue .. So glad you got to see the video, and that you liked it too .. I much prefer the music and vocals from the studio version used in the video, but that's cool if we're in different camps on this .. Regarding the ending, I had always thought it was the dwarf who died, particularly because when the video was shown initially there was no extended ending with the funeral scene .. But apparently fans are divided on it .. However, The Edge has said that it was the female trapeze artist who died, so I guess that should be the definitive answer. . Cheers, Wayne

I'm going to have to complain. I've seen too many reaction videos of live versions of amazing songs that CANNOT BE PROPERLY REPRESENTED IN A LIVE FORMAT. Playing it live, puts limitations on the song! If you want to get a proper representation of a song, listen to the studio version. There is a lot of time and hard work that goes into recording a song that can only be captured the way the artist has produced it onto the original media. Rant over.

Hey Penny, thanks for the comment. There are lots of people who like live versions of songs. I respect your preference as I respect those who like live versions as well. I was asked to do a live version of this song by subscribers who watched some of my other videos. I think in this instance (live vs studio), there will always be conflicting opinions. I personally like both and see the merit in both as well 😀
