If you are not too fixated on LED technology then the old ADA PLL lamps are very pocket friendly and very effective

Hi. Great video sir. I have a question. I’m having a newly planted tank just for one week currently still in cycling process. I’m using CO2 and moderate amount plants in my tank. My soil is from ADA amazonia ver 2 which leeches high amount of ammonia daily untill today. I perform daily 50% water changes. Which fertilizer do you recommend? APT zero or complete? My nitrate test reading 5ppm less. and one more when is the best time to dose? After the light turns on or off. Thanks!

We are extremely sorry to be so late in replying. Somehow we missed this comment and we are really sorry for that. First of all it's good to know that you found the video useful. For the setup you mentioned, we agree with other comments on this video, it is better to start with APT Zero. But please note that ADA Amazonia ver 2.0, we guess, is little low on Nitrogen, so it is better to shift to APT Complete after initial period of 1.5 to 2 months

Hi sir , thanks for Ur informative content, I have some questions to ask u. I have one month old planted aquarium with DIY co2 system, Ada v2 soil, plants density is more on densely side and growing well. Which firt I should start with apt zero or complete and secondly my rotala red and AR min is satisfactory red now ( I have not used any fertilizer till now) will apt complete will result in lose of colouration due to plenty of nitrates in it or it will be ok. Waiting for Ur reply thank you.

We are not aware of the lighting condition but considering the fact that you are using DIY CO2 and consequent fluctuations in the CO2 supply rate, we recommend that you go ahead with APT Zero only

Use of wave maker is necessary if you believe that your aquascape has some "blind" areas where water flow is getting stagnated or is not reaching

ADA is a pioneer in planted aquarium products. APT too is a high quality product. They have some design differences like APT has more magnesium. Best is to give APT a try and see for yourself before you decide which one to continue with

No separate dozing is needed. If you have more stem plants or a "Dutch Type" aquarium please use APT EI

Kindly follow the dozing guidelines as mentioned in the bottle. As it is a new tank and assuming that you are having a rich soil base and giving pressurized CO2, it might be a good idea to start with 75% of the recommended dosing and then gradually increase the dozing. We strongly recommend against using liquid CO2. So won't be able to comment about that

We are not sure about the fertilizer brand you are referring to. In general, it is better to use daily fertilization regime rather than a weekly one.
