On the KQ suited hand: Something I've noticed over the years is that when rec players donk lead on an ace high board, they almost always have A9, A10 or AJ. Given the 10 on the turn, I would expect A10 to definitely size up, and even AJ (now with a gutshot) would bet more than they did. Then the small river bet it was just screaming A9 in my head. The player had A8, which was pretty close. I've learned to take advantage of this situation when I have KK and get led into on ace high boards. I'll raise the flop and they just fold about 75% of the time.

The River raise would have been odd. What hand would you be repping that didn’t need protection on previous streets???

I think you might want to consider raising on the flop when they lead in to you with KQ of diamonds. You're almost guaranteed a check on the turn and then you can start turning your hand in to a bluff. Plus, you might still get there on the river by making a straight or a flush or even trip kings.

Wolfgang! At 11:22 I would min raise the turn. I like that stack to pot ratio to be better suited for a crying call on the river when I get my nutted hands. Anyone else agree?

1. So missed the shutter click opening. 2. Great to see you getting solid theory chops on with the 1/3 flop bet when you flop TPTK with AK. I agree in blank turn you should go bigger than 0.5. You've got way the range advantage and so many worse aces will call more. As you said, checking back river was malpractice, and great for your viewers to hear you say that.

6:40 87s is a 3bet or fold there. Small suited connectors do poorly in multi way pots (not least because they can get flush < flush). This is a common myth and you shouldn't help spread it.

1:27 I haven't seen the result. You flopped kings versus a range that, for an unknown, is now maybe 60% aces and 10% the case kings for a set. Let's see if this is the rare case where the narrow read is wrong....

Thanks for another video Wolfgang. You played pretty good. On the KQ middle pair 1/5 pot river call. That was a good call. You were getting about 5.5 to 1 pot odds to call. You only have to be right, ahead, winning about 17% of time to correctly call, and 100 chips was a very SMALL bet. If you fold that, you will become bluff city, people will start bluffing you a lot there in that kind of spot. Also people overvalue their hand, do weird things, etc. Also think how NITTY you would feel if they bet 50 to 75 to 100 into 500, and you fold your middle pair, and they show bottom pair, bluff, etc. On the AJ suited hand, and 99 river fold to possible overflush, you need to 4 bet more with AJ, 99, because you had position, it would have gotten you heads up, and since opponent kind of played flop, turn, semi weak, you can turn your AJ, 99 into a semi bluff cbet, double barrel, check raise semi bluff, that would likely have won you the pot on flip, or turn, where you wouldn't have seen, lost, folded, etc, on river. By flat calling with AJ, 99, in position, you opened the door for when that K hit flop, your opponent can cbet that K on a missed flop, draw, 99, TT, JJ, etc, and can double, triple barrel you, and you will likely have to fold. But if you 4 bet preflop they are not likely to bet the K, giving that to you, and when you cbet, double barrel, check raise, etc, they will fold, and you will win a pot instead of losing a pot, because you 4 betted with AJ, 99. You really need to MIX UP BOTH flat calling AND 3 betting, 4 betting with AJ suited, 99, etc, on the button, cut off, in position. Also instead of only betting 1/4, 1/3 pot, 2/5, 1/2 pot vs, when there are likely, possible draws, wet, slippery, coordinated boards, instead you need to bet 2/5, halfpot on flop at worst, and 3/5, 2/3, 3/4, 4/5 pot on turn to extract more value, make draws pay too much to see draw, semi protect your hand from made draws. Hope that helps. You played good. Thanks for video.

@@Wolfgang_Poker Thanks for your reply and your good attitude in taking the tips I give you the right way. A lot of thought, logic, years of experience, training, small success that I have had, and sincere intent, go into my tips to help you, others, myself, etc. I do that because I really like, appreciate your entertaining, educative, etc, poker vlogger, and want to see you, others succeed because of that. Also I am not trying to be a know it all either. Also some might wonder if what I am saying is helpful then why am I here, and why haven't I made BIG TIME money, and why am I not playing in the BIG TIME. The answer to them is that even tho I turned $15 into $1750, on Poker stars(Small beans compared to your success so far), and cashed about 59,69,79,89 out of 200 $30 buy in tournaments offline(again small beans), the USA govt shut down Poker stars, and Full Tilt. And that's why I was stopped at $1750. And Washington state where I live, it's a class C Felony to play anything more then Free rolls, play chips online. And I got married, had a family, got divorced, had wrecked finances, and I had lots of near misses: 1. Bubbled out of WSCOOP(before Black Friday shut down of online poker. 2. Badbeated out 1 spot shy in 2nd place in the Absolute Poker 6000 man freeroll, where the winner gets WSOP main event seat, and 10k. 3. Badbeated out 1 spot shy in 9th place in the UB Net Phil Hellmuth 250k freeroll where the top 8 got to play for 250k on TV. 4. Got bad beat out 1 spot shy of, in the UB Net, Phill Hellmuth Aruba freeroll, where those that finished 1 spot above me got a free trip to Aruba, to play in Big Tournament in Aruba. Don't have my bad luck btw. In the next 6 to 12 to 18 months, I am moving to be closer to my daughter in Phoenix Arizona. When I move down there, I'll be able to play in better real money games, casinos, and will be able to play online for real money, instead of just freeroll, and play chips. Giving these tips, gives me something to do with all the poker knowledge, experience, etc, that I can't use because of the situation, state, bankroll, etc, I'm in, have. So thanks for the opportunity you give me to share the tips that I share, and for having a good attitude about them, and for realizing that Good Poker Play and Knowledge, etc, is good, and bad is bad, no matter the results and who says it, that the inherent, intrinsic value of poker play, knowledge, does not change based on results, who said it. So thanks, glad your BANGING away, and continue to do so. Hope you had a awesome thanksgiving, and have a good Christmas, and Happy New year as well. And hopefully I get to see you at a casino, table, in Phoenix, Arizona, someday. Thanks for taking the time to read. And sorry about length if too long.
