The thing about Kong is whenever he fights, he displays some kind of emotion. In the Wartdog fight he was a little worried until he broke that dog in half. When he fought the Drownviper, he was suprised. When he fought Skar and Shimo, he was pissed and scared. Whereas Godzilla does not convey any emotions during his fights. Both are unique in their own ways.

6:14 Damn! you cut out the part where Kong slugs the Karen ape. That was hilarious.

If movie critics had their way we'd never have this masterpiece of Kong action. They can ditch all the humans and story and just have Kong being Kong for 2 hours. They let Godzilla just go around being an ultimate badass the whole time, and Kong basically did the same thing with only a minor injury they took care of real fast. Just good 90's style fun where two established badasses are just whooping ass the whole time.

Love how Kong was portrayed in this movie. You can tell he's just really built different compared to the other great apes including Scar King. The other apes seemed more like a nuisance rather than an actual threat. The way he held Scar King up by the neck just really showed how much more powerful he is if it came to just beating the fuck out of each other in a slugfest. Of course Scar King has to make up with his agility and cunning but seeing how Kong easily beat him when he lost control over Shimo just made me glad Kong is on humanity's side.

That you for this edit. This is all i wanted from this movie. I could watch a whole series of both Kong and Godzilla. Going on adventures together or separate, with no annoying humans especially American ones.

I have found some inconsistencies with Kong 's upper left tusk. When he rips the wolf in half he's got a full healthy tooth, then when he tries to eat he's got a broken fang. He shows up at Skar King 's place with the new black metal tooth, then he's back with a normal fang like in the beginning when he's seen breaking Skar King's frozen body.

Basically all u need to see in the movie lol

Adam may not be my favorite monsterverse director, BUT I will give him this- he did a much better job with King Kong here battle wise compared to GvK by letting him win some fights by himself. So I can somewhat relate to the fans that are bummed by how he’s not continuing to another movie. But who knows…maybe a better director will come along

One thing I love about these Kaiju movies is how indominable Nature is. Despite all that mankind has thrown at it over the centuries Life persists, adapts and may not ever submit to man's whims. Kaiju symbolize nature retaliating against Man's destructive capabilities.

Kong is not as strong as Godzilla, but he is smart. If Kong wanted he could have killed Godzilla easily. Many scenes show Godzilla fainting from being beaten by Kong. Kong is the real king while Godzilla is just a brutal creature.

Ngl Kong just groaning about how filthy he is after bathing in blood, bathing under a waterfall and after the bath is adorable. And then him feeling awful about his toothache makes me really sad for him.

They really went out of their way to humanize Kong in this one… I get he’s smart and actual gorillas are smart as hell but I like the titans better when they act more like animals.. can still be smart and emotional but this one straight up made him a human
