Camila was supposed to be on the track originally it was so close to being released but then her ppl said no bc of Camilas solo release… it all worked out bc Maren nailed it!

I really like Charli’s version coz the vocoder is much more prevalent in that demo and it really fits her. If they released that it would’ve been good for her record label to see her get another hit, and maybe they would’ve let her release XCX World. Still listen to the Charli demo daily💗.

Carly Rae Jepsen, Tove Lo, Lennon Stella, Elley Duhe and Daya also all recorded this song. I think Daya or Elley Duhe would've definitely sounded great on this. I liked all the versions, and all the singers sound good, but I feel like Demi and Bishop's voices are almost too powerful for this song. The song is supposed to feel homely and country-pop-ish and even though Demi and Bishop sound great, they're voices are too much for the vibe of the song. Sara Arons, Bebe Rhexa, Charli XCX and Camilla's version sounds the most fitting. Maren's version is fine but honestly i prefer one of these girls over her. 3-5 second clips of Elley Duhe and Daya's recording leaked and even though it's only 3 seconds I know they both would've killed this. Carly Rae, Tove Lo and Lennon Stella's versions have never been leaked. I think Camila, Daya or Elley Duhe would've sounded the best. Sara Aarons' version is the best version, but I think she said something in an interview about preferring to stay behind the lyrics and not be the main singer. I think she did backup vocals for the official version though.
