6:04 Mario + Rabbids is personally amazing. It also sounds similiar to the death sound in Rayman 1. (Rabbids are from the Rayman franchise) Probably the arrangement is a tribute for Rayman without anyone even noticed.

I never heard the NSMBU or SM3DW Game Over themes until I played Super Mario Maker 2. In Endless Mode, when you run out of lives, you get a Game Over screen that matches the game style of the stage where you lost your last life. And on the Expert and especially Super Expert difficulties, you're quite likely to see a Game Over screen after just a few stages, despite starting with more lives on the harder settings.
